Recently attended a Mustang launch held by my dealer. There was a kitted up version with most of the Rousch products, and it looked and sounded awesome. They started the stock TY 5.0 litre fastback and that sounded pretty poor for a V8. Will need to update to a better exhaust system if you want a sexy tune.
Anyway, the Rousch version had the hood struts installed and I asked the fellas from MM if that mod was legal for Australia and they said it was fine. The reason why Ford Aust has gone with the old fashioned bonnet lever holder is to save money.
They also added that if the hood vents were on the bonnet then the hood struts were not allowed and did not meet ADR.
