I could chat and give advice on Fox bodies all day long, but as a buddy of mine put it bluntly it’s not 1990 anymore jack wad. So to you guys I come seeking advice. I recently purchased a 2019 Black GT (auto) with the Black accent package. Nothing else as far as options. My ultimate goal is to put a stage one Roush on it and call it a day, however my bank account does not call for that right now. So I’m basically looking for some advice on what’s the best bang for the buck. Reading some posts and doing a little thinking on my own I am going to do a MAK cat delete, H pipe and tune. I’m not spending $$$$ for headers and an intake, the HP/$$$ ratio is not worth it in my opinion. Besides I almost fell over at the prices of what the headers are and what it is to install them. It’s come a long way since I used to do them on my fox bodies in my driveway. I was also thinking of doing a E85 tune as I have quite a few gas stations that have the product. Besides the car is not a daily driver so distance issues between stations are not a concern. One question about E85, if I run it are there any long/short term effects to the engine, gas lines or tank? Im not at all familiar with E85 and it’s possible affects. As far as suspension is concerned I’m not going too crazy. I ordered a strut tower brace, beefier sway bars and links, eibach lowering springs, BMR irs stage 2 kit and BMR vertical links to help with any wheel hop. I still have to break her in as it’s only got 70 miles on it. Any advice on cheaper horsepower upgrades in addition to those I mentioned would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

By far best bang for your buck based on your description is e85 / flex tune. Run a tank of 91/93 every so often to lube and clean out.

MAK cat deletes will yield some gains similar to LTH as well.

Sounds like you're on the right track for suspension.

Half shafts before slapping on the blower as well.

Thanks. Yes the half shafts will be upgraded as well as the oil pump gears. Gets a bit pricey. I was lucky with the car though, I had $2,000 in Ford Rebates on top of $500 dealer incentive plus a First responder (firefighter) discount of $750. Out the door with a free upgrade to the floor mats $37,588. Although a great price still a lot of $$$. With the flex tune you don't lose any HP when you run the E85 right? I am having the car custom tuned when I break her in by a shop by me.

Peak hp is the same typically between flex and straight e85 tunes but on the straight e tune timing is ramped up much quicker.

Just did my half shafts so can swap out DRs as I have a problem with traction as is on flex plus planning on fi on near horizon.

Swapped CF drive shaft as well for quicker response and revs. Piece of mind when going fi too.

I would say full E85 tune over flex if you have E85 stations locally. Add a h/x resonator delete and enjoy it. Good luck and congrats!
