Advice for a Beginner

I used to have manual cars and I believe I can safely say you will be ok on the stock clutch IF you are driving fairly normally, but if you are constantly revving high and dumping the clutch, I don't care what you have in there, you will destroy said clutch.
Edit: And I would definitely agree with what @SSG 5.0 said.

@Burkey mentioned stopping wheel hop. This is a must for if you add forced induction. If you have all that HP and torque, you need to make sure you have the grip to use it. So look at our signatures. Mine for instance, do you need all of it, no. Do you need most of it, yes. My build is for handling first with later forced induction in mind. Do I think I need to add to my rear suspension/driveline when I do go forced induction, yes I do (half-shafts, possibly drive shaft)...I feel I have everything else. Tires man, tires...must must must.

How and where would I find these discounted?

I wholesale vehicles to the dealers in my area and have a great relationship with all of them. I plan on having one of the independents snag me a GT with performance pack 1 and I will buy it from them. I was going to ask them if they would reach out to the local street performance shop about installing any mods. Then the dealer could just sell me the ride at total cost they spent.

The only thing I wonder about is if a bank/lender will lend me the full amount with mod costs. I know that some banks tend to not see the "value" of aftermarket mods since NADA doesn't account for them.

Another thing to consider is you don't need forced induction to reach 500hp. Long tube headers, exhaust, tuning device, and E85 = 500hp. Cost you around $3500/ 4k installed.

I hear ya. Yeah my credit is about 735 right now. So I think I will be okay. I have a friend who also personally flips cars and he has a specific guy at a local bank here that he uses that I might see about getting in touch with.

The clutch will die in a completely stock car. If your doing a ton of racing. If your racing. Youll need to upgrade everything. If your drivng to car shows and only plan on spirited highway pulls. Your good.

I’ll elaborate more on what I said since there’s been so much feed back. Please keep in mind this is just my opinion. The performance package comes with a number of upgrades. Ford designed the performance package as a drag strip ready variant of the gt. There are a number of upgrades that are included but many articles and the like only list the big ones and skip over some of the smaller stuff. You should read fords official sales material for the performance package to find all of it.
But off the top of my head: brembo brakes, torsion limited slip differential geared at 3.73, look the differential up that thing is a beast, bigger radiator, staggered wheels, performance suspension, upgraded k member, strut tower brace, polyurethane bushings bushings all around which are a BIG deal, extra gauges in the dash for oil pressure and vacuum, track apps including launch control, line lock and real time g-force monitoring. I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff.
If you do a full supercharger kit like a Whipple you won’t NEED any other mods. But like others have said you will beat the holy hell out of some parts. Clutch will go fast if you beat on it. Like others have said sticky tires are big for keeping control of the power output. They are a safety upgrade as well. With the staggered wheels you won’t be rotating them though. So expect to replace the rears more frequently. As for half shafts and the like, how hard are you going to romp on it and on what kind of roads? Wheel hop under load could be catastrophic but if you have good tires and smooth pavement like a freeway that’s not much of a concern. Advice: leave traction control on and if you feel the back hop let off the gas.
If you want to go full Monty and build a fire breathing monster: PP1 as your base. Street slicks for tires, replace the transmission, clutch, drive shaft, half shafts, upgrade the fuel pump.
Anything else is to taste.
