I am new to the forums and did not see a thread on this. If there is please point me to it. If not here is my question.

I have a need to add 2 powered USB connections, they do not need to be tied into the radio just provide power via USB. Has anyone installed a 12v-5v dual usb adapter like this one?

https://www.amazon.com/Double-Conve...r+Adapter&qid=1612831748&s=electronics&sr=1-1

If so, what did you wire it to? Did you go to the cigarette lighter or did you go to the fuse box? I would like to go to the fuse box but not sure which one to jump off of. Any recommendations would greatly help.

2018 Mustang GT, Base, 4' sync 1 radio, non amplified.

I agree with BadHabit, just get a dual cigarette lighter plug in. They are in every gas station, wal-mart, etc, for around $5.

It is powering something under the dash and I want to retain the cigarette lighter funtionality. I want to hide these connections so they are not seen and no wirings running anywhere.

I used what looks like the same hardware for my dash cam. I spliced into two cables in the map light (https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...iring-to-rear-view-mirror.130018/post-2782348) as that was what was most convenient for my dash cam (it's hanging of the rear view mirror), but I saw most other people hooked into the fuse box so I'm sure that'll work just as good.

If no better replies, search for the dash cam threads and you should find some appropriate fuse numbers mentioned.

Appreciate the insight and the link. I will take a look through those threads, I would like to run to fuse box optimally.
