I finally got my turn signal mirrors in with the heated mirrors and puddle lamp options, funny story is when I first bought my Base S550, I bought the sequential turn signals for the mirrors because I planned on doing this 2 years ago and forgot i had them. Anyways, now I installed the sequential turn signals on the new mirrors I just got and what a PITA.. I was hoping to luck out with some S550 owners 18+ saying that some had the connectors with the wires already ran and had to use forscan Yada Yada Yada and to my surprise.. not so lucky, so I'm running my own wires through the door to the dash and luckily am good with wiring, I pulled a schematic and wrote down theoretically what wires I will tap into, I will confirm tomorrow as I ran out of daylight if these wires are active and if they are correct, I also wrote down the heated mirror wires in case those that wanna add it (I'm not cause extra wiring and don't really care for it, but in case you do) I noted the hint so in case I can't find the wire off the bat and will be sideways cramped up not trying to find the numbers embossed on the connector, I can see and get a visual of what side of the connector I need to look for. So for those who want to add heated mirrors, most likely you will not have memory seats, if you don't then you will have to run a wire from each mirror directly to the battery junction box under the hood and run it to the yellow/blue wire on fuse #87 IF you are also unlucky and don't have the mirror connector prewired from chassis

I did this too. I have a 23 GT base with black mirrors. I wanted silver mirrors to match the body. Turn signals work and puddle lights don't work. I don't know what to do to get them to work. 2 out of 3 reasons I did this isn't too bad.

I got everything wired and everything works, on the electrical diagrams, the pinout on connector C2280C say puddle left but I spliced in both puddle lights straight at the connector to the BCM which is perfect, if I open left, the left one comes on, if I open the right, the right one comes on, I will double check in a bit now that it's getting dark if both come on when door opens. The turn signals I got wired in as well, I ran a ground straight to chassis so I wouldn't run into any problems in the future of bad ground connection at bcm so didn't go that route, but to clarify: both turn signals and puddle lamps are connected with t taps at the BCM and this isn't bad "to mess with anything at the BCM wiring" because it's only on the circuit that's designed for what I tapped into meaning if a bad connection in the future causing it to go out etc. I'll know exactly where and know it won't affect anything else, each door has 3 wires going through the rubber door to chassis sheathing however when I took off the rubber cover to get inside the cabin, it was a quick disconnect connector so couldn't feed it, I did cut a little snip on the rubber covering which I'll post pics, ran it through the fender to the engine bay into the rubber grommet left side of the brake booster that's behind the accelerator pedal and ran the wires through the side of the radio where the center console starts out to the other side, I will post a more detailed diagram of exactly what connectors cause the first Pic was confused as he'll and will post pics of my final result

Also was yours plug and play or you had to run wires? Because if yours was plug and play and had the wires existing and just has non premium mirrors then you may have to activate the puddle in forscan

Dude in this video drones on for far too long, but you get the idea... pony should be pointing forwards, legs away from the car on both sides (it's a mirror image on the other side).

I'm going to have to buy oem puddle lamps as the aftermarket I took apart, it has a film on the inside of the lens but has 3 alignment circles cut out and both are non adjustable

So, do the 18 and newer models have the wiring there for the base models?

Nope, mines a base which is why I had to manually run new wires but works like factory, my buddy has a premium and side by side, same blink pattern and response
