First of all, this is my first post, and I sincerely hope I’m posting this in the correct place.
I recently bought a 2019 Mustang GT. It has a really weird issue with the climate control system. I have a warranty from a third party, so I took the car to the dealership, but they were unable to fix the problem.
Here are the problems and what the dealership did.
When the car’s accessory mode is on, let’s say I turn the temperature all the way to the maximum heat setting—I can feel air coming from the vents. However, when I turn the knob from hot to the cold side, there’s barely any air coming out of the vents. Up to about halfway, I can still feel air flow, but beyond that point, it almost completely stops. Judging by the sound of the blower motor, it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. It actually sounds like, as I gradually turn the knob toward the cold side, the air from the blower is getting trapped in a closed environment. This behavior remains the same even when the car is fully started.
The dealership did an evac and recharge of the A/C system, though I had a feeling that wouldn’t help. They also replaced two actuators—one of them was the blend door actuator.
At this point, I’m out of ideas. I’m hesitant to take it back to the same dealership because it felt like they had no idea what they were doing. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am more than happy create a video and share it, if that helps.
Thanks in advance!!!!!
