Now that I've have a couple weeks and 1,500klm on the car there's a couple things that a) I would like to see and b) can't find the answer to.

1. Is there a way (without pulling the fuse) to turn off the rear view mirror auto dim feature. Without the tint on the back windows it works well but with the tint it still dims if a car is directly behind making everything too dark. The rear window tint is 5% so dimming the mirror is pointless.

2. Is there a way to keep the dash lights on all the time. I set the MyColour the way I want it but only see it on my drive home. I'd like it on all the time.

3. has anyone figured out if/how to roll-up the windows with the key fob? It bothers me that you car lower them but not raise them.

Maybe none of these are possible (yet), but I hope someone knows how for one or all.

1. Yes, you can physically cut the power cable running to the rearview.

2. You can cover over the light sensor in the dash that controls interior dimming. Tape a piece of aluminum foil or cardboard over it.

3. Nope, not possible.

The rearview mirror only dims when headlamps shine on it. It will not dim as much when there is less headlamp light on it, such as because the rear windows are tinted. It will provide the same amount of reflected light wheather or not there is tinting on the rear window.

The problem you probably have is that there is not enough light coming through the rear window during twilight and night conditions. You can't see cars that don't have their headlamps on, and you can't see details of what's behind you because the rear window is tinted, not because the mirror is dimming. If you turn and look directly through the rear window you will probably see the same as what you see in the mirror.

If you have 401A (or 201A, but I see GT Premium in your sig) they do. Without the upgrade package, no.
I don't know if its attached to the FOB or just the buttons.

The autodim feature on my Fusion has little sensors in the mirror housing. If you put tape over them, they do not sense the light behind you and dim. Note sure if the Stangs have the same design.

Rear view mirror is adjusted manually. Just grab it with your hand and aim it to your liking.
