Anybody else having trouble driving sensibly?

Durn car gets to 90 without any sign of effort, begs for throttle and hard braking, & just feels too relaxed taking corners faster than I ought to.

Am hoping I can get back to adult behavior before an issue with police or physics takes me there.

So true but I think I'll get over it once snow hits, I'm going to be driving like a grandma.I just hope I can control the urge before then :)

Ha. Yeah I've already been pulled over once. Car is way too comfy going fast. Luckily I got away with a warning, but the LEO could've hit me with 75 in a 55 on a country road. Being polite and friendly goes a long way.

Oh, are you kidding? I am not so bad with a lead foot, the darn thing still scares me. But just carrying speed on my mountain roads, it's stupid fast. Most people drive the road at 55-60, I'm used to driving it at 65-70, and now I look down and see 80! Probably need to grab hold of that before I hit a patch of black ice.

Yeah, I have a hard time not laying rubber across intersections and hauling balls up an on-ramp, or taking off-ramps way faster than I should. She just begs to be driven...

I've been doing my best to remain calm. It's pretty easy to get carried away though. I'm mainly staying at proper flow of the traffic speeds, but in the twisty bits I keep the speed up. It just BEGS to fly through the corners. The limit is a LONG way from any car I've driven before.

I'm sure once you get to the limit, you can feel the need for more suspension, but just driving below it is so much fun, I really don't care to take it further, at least on public roads. It's limit is way more than enough for public roads.

fast cars seperate good from bad Drivers...

Keep in mind: only the one who brings his car home without a scratch is a good driver

Invest in a radar detector.

A good radar detector ($150+) and the Waze app on your phone. Not that I condone speeding... but it is wayyyyy too easy to get carried away.

I warned everybody! :D Seriously though, on day one, I was like.. damn.. I had no idea I was doing 90.. So smooth and quiet compared to my previous stangs, especially my '11 with the Roush Axle backs.

I have a dash mount for my smartphone, and I run an app on iOS called Speed Box, shows the GPS calculated speed in big led letters, and does a few other things.

Helps keep me.. sensible. :)

Save yourself the aggravation and spend the extra money to get a GPS enabled radar detector like the escort passport 9500ix. I hated cheap radar detectors forever, in most driving conditions they were useless because false positives dulled you to actual cops. My friend bought a 9500ix, I took one trip and was amazed. Every dumb door and "your speed"trailer was locked out and you could sniff out cops from miles and miles away. Now that my unit is trained in about six states worth of driving it's even more worthwhile to me.

LOL...Yes, this is a PROPER sports car, QUIET and FAST...the high end European cars are even worse, my Mercedes S550 hits 135mph while getting a massage and super quiet. I've gotten more speeding tickets in that than any other car I've owned. Kids beware!

I flipped on S+ mode for the first time today. :eyebulge:

It's probably best it resets to normal every time you start the car, at least that way I'll get halfway to work before I remember to turn it on.

I've only used normal and snow/rain so far. Sport+ takes it to a whole new level.
