$800 for a Navigation

I am already getting the 201A Package with my Ecoboost Premium which includes the 8" Screen + Shaker pro. What is the difference between what I already have and Navigation package? Is there a different hardware component or they are just changing or adding software Navgivation?

They add the gps antenna internally and the SD Card with maps. You cannot upgrade this later. Just get it and make your MyFordTouch complete. You'll love having a built in Nav.

Built in navigation is awesome! If you can change your order I would recommend it. I have it on my wife's fusion and we had it on her mini cooper too. Way better than using a phone.

Anyone know if the 2015 Mustang NAV will show the turn by turn directions in the small display between the speedo and the tach like other Ford models?

Massive error not getting the nav.

You pay 800, after 4 years it will probably add 400 to the residual value of the car, so you end up paying less than 10 bucks a month for it.

Only problem is, if you don't want navi, you can keep your 800$ and come out 400$ plus interest ahead later....

I wouldn't say massive error. Losing 400$ to have something you don't want is kinda silly actually.

But I agree. If you have any thought you may want it, it isn't as much of a loss as some other options.

I think it's silly to be that guy with the cell phone/gps mounted on the windshield. With a beautiful 8 inch screen with no NAV...

I used to hate the nav in cars, always used the Maps app on my iPhone, when my friend showed me his nav in his 2014 mustang, I was blown away at the accuracy and the reliability. They revamped the software in the 2015's, I can't wait to see the new Nav (I ordered it myself, 800 over 6 years financing isnt bad at all.

I'm still on the fence when it comes to nav. I have nav in my current car on a 7" touchscreen, but I still use Waze because of it's awesome features like: cop reporting, road hazard reports, speed camera locations, ability to send friends your location/eta, and social aspect.

I feel like if I buy the nav, i'll just end up using Waze and it will be a waste of money. Manufactures should just start integrating Waze into their systems.

they really should be android. period. allow me to do whatever I want to it. Anyway, I still ordered the nav, because why not? Not really going to notice 800 dollars split between 3-4 years.

You said my words Nitro. This is EXACTLY why I didn't get Nav, I'm too used to Waze and its amazing features no other GPS software has. Don't forget it has real-time traffic information. I don't know how many hours I've saved driving alternate routes avoiding traffic. If I got the Nav upgrade, I might use it for the first while or so but I will always go back to Waze because of these features. Specially now that I'm in a sports car, that Cop reporting will come extra handy.
