So my 301A Mustang GT is on order. Since 301A includes Sync 3 what would need to be done to add navigation later down the line? Can I do it via SD Card or a software update from Ford dealership? Or does Sync 3 not even come with the hardware for navigation to be loaded in?

oh boy...you should've added nav option in the order..you'd have to take the whole console out to add nav later on..go add it before its too late

if you ordered this week you're in luck, ford wont build it until next month anyway..call the dealer up

Damn really? They don't even make it so Sync 3 has the option for the software to be added in later down the line. That sucks. Well it's going into production this week so probably to late for that. It's not something I really need anyways I have my Android auto and Google maps. Would of just been nice.

Unfortunately you can't add navigation after the fact through Ford. The only option is buying a Sync 3 APIM with navigation. You can also use Waze, Sygic, etc for navigation through Android Auto.

You dont need the NAV if you have an android phone or an Iphone. Once you connect those you can get nav through them.

Kind of. All locations even in the US do not have cell connectivity. Especially in the Mid-West.

yes so call them and add it if you dont want to rely on cell apps. the only other option is on android you can use google maps but if theres reception issues you wont get live traffic feed..the roads will work without reception
