Has anyone experienced vibrations above 75 mph related to 5mm spacers on the front wheels?

Are you able to get the recommended minimum of 6-7 turns of engagement on your lugs? Are you sure they're seated evenly/properly on the hub?

I don't know. I'll have the tire shop check this out. Thanks,

No issues here for 30k miles or so. I run a hubcentric 5mm spacer so IDK if that helps (it shouldnt matter really)

Make sure your lug nuts are torqued to factory spec 150 ft lbs.

5mm is shorter than the factory hib ring, so the wheels should still center on the hub (just barely).

Wow, the tire shop said they torqued the lugs at 80 ft lbs on just 4 lug nuts per wheel. They didn't want to go even that tight on the factory wheel locks. This could be a problem waiting to happen.
I know the spacers are hub centric.
Thanks

WOW  I'd find a new place asap.

5mm spacers will definitely allow more than 6-7 full turns. Otherwise there should be no issues. What brand of spacers are they? I'm almost certain that when you properly torque the lug nuts down, your issue will be resolved however.

I really don't agree with not torqueing the locking nut to spec, just do it last. All 5 should be the same or you probably will get bad vibes.
Also, remove the locking nut first when the time comes.

Hi Cory,
The hubcentric 5mm spacers came from Paul at PK Auto Design. I understand they were specifically made for this application since I said I would be putting the original PP1 19" x 9.5" rear wheels on the front. I'm really pleased with the way fit the car. I have a 2018 GT with the magneride suspension.

I didn't know torqueing the lugs below 150 ft lbs in the front could cause a vibration above 75 mph. At lower speeds there's no vibration at all.

Now that Thanksgiving is over and I'm back in town, I hope to get the lugs further torqued tomorrow.

Thanks

It could also be you knocked off some wheel weights. Easy to do with the current environmentally friendly (crappy) adhesives now typically used.

But a wheel no where near the proper tightness is never good. And should be corrected reguardless, and ASAP.
