When I was running the 93 BAMA tune I had similar issues until I did a few datalogs. And I agree with everyone else, I think you got some bad information on the different modes.

Couple questions that's been really bugging me...

Relevant-to-post mods:
-Stainless works 3inch catback
-JLT CAI
-BAMA Tune

1. Installed tune. Car runs VERY slow under 3000 RPM, and seems like no gains have been made past 3000 RPM. Very hard to get in to 1st gear (after mods) - What might be the reasons to this? (waiting on email tune revision)

2. With the tunes installed, does it matter which drive setting the car is in? Will the tune work if the car is in sport mode? Or will the car work only if the drive mode is in NORMAL?

Thanks!
***Important update for those unaware***

If in fact there are a dozen posts on this like you said, and you still believe the tune works on all drive modes, i have some bad newz.

Contacted Bama.
Ford's tune WILL override JLT/Bama tune once car is toggled to sport mode. Was advised that JLT is working on this issue*

Charles,

Thanks for emailing in. Our tunes only effect the car when the car is in normal mode. When you switch to Sport mode, the Ford factory tune overrides our tunes, and you will be in the Ford factory sport mode tune. SCT is working on this issue, and hopefully they will have an update for it soon. I hope this helps. Thanks, and have a nice day!

Dabears 2322, that's mind-boggling!

I receieved an email from Andrew saying otherwise (view 1st page of thread).* I also contacted Bama via phone and Justin (I THINK that was his name) also said otherwise. Also, via phone, the rep said SCT is working on it - not Bama. Wtheck?

I hope you're right.

***UPDATE***

Received new tune.
Rides the same under 3000 RPM (just like the first tune from bama). Slower and poorer response than bone stock. I'm done with this. Don't mind it. Whatever. Will take it to a shop in Anaheim.

Regarding the Ford tune overriding, hopefully Beauxxl1200 can get an answer.

CHAROLLS - Sorry to hear about the trouble here but I think Bama can get this sorted for you with a few more logs! - The 2015 Mustang has a completely different PCM that not only Bama but others are still working though. Most if not all tunes will not be done in one shot and they will require some datalogging to have the tune properly dialed in.

In regards to the drive modes there's a lot that needs to be cleared up here!

Changing Drives Modes will not override Bama's Tune! - What it will override is the following:

Manual Trans: Pedal/Throttle Correlation

Automatic: Pedal/Throttle Correlation - Tranmission Mapping (shift points/converter lock/unlock points)

Between the Automatic and Manual cars the tune will react differently but to clarify this further we have drive modes as Toggle Switches, and shifter select Modes like "D" and "S" for the auto guys.

Bamas tunes do remap the trans settings in either "D or S", when the drive mode selected is normal. If someone changes the drive mode toggle itself to any other setting then it will overlay unique transmission settings on top of Bamas tune.

I hope this helps and I'm sorry for the confusion.

Alex

Thanks Alex,

Cleared a few things up for me. I think I'll feel most comfortable and at peace of mind if I take it to a Mustang tuning shop and speak to a professional in person - possibly get a tune there as well.
