I don't have access to a printer big enough so I'm asking here.

I need a plate that will adapt the GT350 port to the 17 head port. Part will look similar
port.webp
to these.

can you print it one port at a time with oring grooves in it? the heat of the engine id guess u need abs or peek so even if u had a printer big enuf it would warp on the print bed. i would go to a online printing service. u can get them made in metal for $$$ if u need one piece fwiw

I thought about printing 2 ports basically cutting it in half. Single might work.

all you would need is a locating tab between them and a glass bed on the gasket side if theres a gasket used

I think the problem is there are only 3 bolts holding each side. If there were 2 bolts per port it would be easy. I suppose I could also print a spacer between ports and glue it all into one piece.

Thanks, things to think on.

I'm running into power problems with the 350 manifold and I think it is because of the port being bigger on the manifold than the head.

These parts look like planar, so might be easier and cheaper to cut them by CNC

.125 to .5 inch is plenty, just need to get rid of the speed bump.
I could use epoxy and build up the manifold port but that would be 100 hours of labor.

or I could port the head, but that requires removing the heads.......

Any aircraft, oil field or motorsport machine shop can CNC that easily. Won't be cheap.

How fast do you need it and budget?

perhaps you could take 2 phenolic intake gaskets one for the gt one for the 350. glue them together sort of (ptfe right yikes) then port then to match.

@K4fxd what are you up to here? This sounds interesting. I didn’t know that NX made a direct port kit like this when I installed nitrous on my Bullitt, but given that Ford used the GT350 IM on this car, I would have to assume the IM and head ports match.

I recall reading (a while ago), that the NX direct port nitrous plates will work with the GT350 IM. If this is true, wouldn’t it just be easier to buy the plates from NX and plug the holes with 1/8” NPT plugs if you’re only using them as phenolic type spacers?

The plates are 500 bucks. I'm a cheap bastage.

No there is a pretty big miss match, the manifold is larger.

I believe this is why the 350 manifold is only slightly better than the 18. Making a spacer is easier than porting the head.
