So I can get the parts way cheaper online and not pay sales tax so that is a win. I would like to have the parts professionally installed for my peace of mind. I doubt that a ford dealer would accept parts that I bring to them. What would you all do ? Would you take it to a local brake shop like Firestone or something ? I feel like may be a bad idea lol.

Maybe I just need to man up and do it. I am sure I can, just being a chicken.

I took mine to my trusted Mechanic at ZCar Garage and had him do it. :)
So in other words... ask local friends who have friends for a mechanic they trust. It's not really too hard a job and any good/trusted mechanic should be able to do it. I could have done mine, but I just didn't have time.

This is the note I sent out to my mech:
"I’m not sure if you can help or not, but I’m in the search for a trusted mechanic who can do a direct Brembo caliper swap on my new ’16 GT350. Looking to swap the Black calipers for the Red calipers. I have all the parts in hand. Would your shop be able to do that or do you have any trusted leads to throw my way?"

The swap is not hard at all. I handled mine on my own. Just make sure you have all three necessary tools, which aren't much.

Also will need a second set of feet to help bleed the brakes. Or find a local member that can help you out

So probably going to just do this myself. Is there any info out there on the torque specs for the calipers / banjo bolts / Bleeder valve ect ? I want to make sure I do it correctly.

Thanks

Ppg makes a reflective urethane and base coat clear coat paint. Also a glow in the dark. It's not my taste but someone might like it.

I think I am going to order my brakes tonight, $ 1024 delivered to my house. I am gonna take off my stock calipers and sell them once I get my car; hopefully mid Aug if fords timeline holds up. The stockers prolly wont even have 20 miles on them when they come off.

Ok stupid question, I need 2 caliper bolts per caliper correct ? I accidentally ordered 1 bolt per caliper. Do you think It would be ok to reuse the caliper bolts that come on the car ? I mean there will only be minimal delivery miles on them.

The only reason why ford says new bolts is because of the applied blue locktite. Reuse the original ones, add some locktite and torque to spec. You'll be fine.
