Currently trying to decide on if i want to gk with 305 or 315 on my p51 20x11 wheels. I want nitto g2 and my only concern with 315s is i dont want the tire to look to bulky or big bc of the sidewall difference. And how much will diameter affect my final gear ratio. I had 3.31 and a 30 series sidewall now. If i goto a 35 series will i notice much as far a gear ratio feeling?

Use Nitto's website. Will tell you the optimal rim width for a tire. use a tire size calculator for your speedo concern,. Search engines are your friend. Let your fingers do the walking. After all these years and the old Yellow Pages jingle still holds water! LOL!

Firestone Indy 500 is a better tire in the same price range. Continental ExtremeContact Sport is in between that and the Michelin PS4S on price and is extremely good (a match for the pilot super sport).

Going to be hard to find anyone with "expieriece". I run Nitto. I run 20's. I did my own research, used the charts, and calculators and it all worked out. No one held my hand. I sought no one for an opinion. The numbers don't lie and the tire charts are correct. Ignorance is excusable and treatable. Lazy is terminal.

Sidewall difference will depend on the ratio you go with, not just the width.

Like BmacIL mentioned, I don't see anything extremely fascinating about the G2s (I have them, came out cheaper than the Indy 500s because of some coupons I was able to stack).

Here's a glamour shot of my 20x10 with 275/35/20, I think a 315 would be fine on an 11" wide.

Hey @yote41, I have 315's on my 20x11's and it doesn't look bulky at all. I'm at a 35 aspect ratio - 315/35/20. There is a pretty cool website called www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc You type in whatever size you want and it'll give you overall dimensions, revs per mile, difference in speedometer compared to other sizes you type in. I know you said you weren't looking for numbers on a site but this site is worth a look.

And @Nagare, nice looking set-up.

Thread Hijack!
This is a perfect example of someone asking a question that may have been asked a 1000 times before.

Maybe he didnt know how the search/keyword function worked?

Maybe he is like others and have realized that any forum search button is generally worthless, even when using the advanced query?

Maybe he is an advanced DYOR guy and sees the numbers on the charts for what they are but, still wants to get a pat on the back before shelling out
2000 on tires that may or may not work that are never returnable?

Maybe he just likes interaction from fellow enthusiasts and everyone “kicking tires” with him?

Maybe he is lazy?

Maybe he hates google and realizes that duckduckgo still hasn’t quite got the algorithms down?

Who cares! If any thread bothers you just dont click on it or hit the “back” button.

To the haters of any thread, “with the exception of troll threads”, just move along.

You are not contributing

You are not being cute

You are not making yourself look smart

You are not winning any friends

You are making yourself look like a douchebag.

Are you a douchebag?

Not to be confused with asshole.
Assholes have class.
Assholes are intelligent.

Assholes generally speaking are everything douchebags aspire to be but, they simply lack the confidence and intelligence to pull it off with that special asshole kind of flare. You either have it or you dont.

Douchebags, Jerks, Pikers, Phooksticks, and other terms that anyone really is welcome to join in with my Hijack to enlighten us to other adjectives that will totally supplement this exploitation of said doucheymacdouchersons.

I joined this place to learn, interact, and be friendly so if you are clearly a combative, know it all prick, maybe you should switch to another car. I really dont want to be known to drive a car that equals the driver to a complete douche nozzle.

EXAMPLE: Corvette drivers for whatever reason are equated to my dickey no workey...
See the picture.

So if Mustang owners are doucheymacdouchersons, then I bought the wrong car. Twice!!

I’ve owned a few Mustangs but, my history on forums in of the offshore angler and boating sites. This is a new forum for me. I’ve posted virtually nothing and have just been a lurker to see what kinds of people run in this circle.

So in conclusion,
thank you to all who have taken the time to type in your real world experience
thank you to all who have provided photos and priceless knowledge from your successes and failures

When you do this, you keep others from repeating your historical failures.
Thank you for investing in testing and tuning so that we can learn from you.

in the end.
Dont make people feel stupid for asking a question.
Some people are lazy but, some people are overly analytical and want to dot every “i” possible before shelling out cash.

Thank you,
Mark

Thank you kind sir, took words right from my brain. I used all those features but those features do not tell you how the tire will actually look on your car or how it will affect any performance. So again thank you. And to cupcakewindowlicker above..... may the karma gods serve you with a steamy pile right back.

I have 19's so not a direct comparison. Having said that the 305/35 Nitto g2 on a 19x11 is square to the rim. No stretch or buldging. I have been happy with the tire so far, are there better, yes, do they cost more, yes. Indy 500 didn't come in a 305/35 (still may not?) or I would have gotten those.
