Hello,

I purchased some LMR GT7s in 19X10 for all for corners. I have been running the stock 255/40 Pirellis for a while but am ready to purchase the right size tires for these wheels. I have decided on the 285/35s because the diameter is within .1 inch of the stock diameter.

When I put the stock tires on the new wheels the clearance up front was pretty tight. I just want to confirm with the smart folks here that the 285s are going to fit properly without rubbing or the need for spacers. I am afraid the installer is going to balk and I want some proof to back me up when I tell them they will fit.

I am trying to decide between the Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 and the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+.

Thanks in advance.

I run 285/35 with Steeda non adjustable struts with 19X10 LMR GT350 wheels and there is clearance. There is not much but I have no rubbing, inside or otherwise on BMR SP089s up front.

Just had 285/35/19 Continental ExtremeContact DWS06s installed. They look and fit great! Thanks again for the help.

Hello, How much clearance do you have? I just installed this same setup and I'm concerned about the very tight clearance, somewhere between 2 and 3 mm. I'm doing a track event and I'm concerned that as the tire heats it may rub, is that a reasonable concern?

I Just installed this set up last week, (285/35/19) I went with Ace Alloy's AFFO2 19x10's I am NOT lowered, and have plenty of clearance all around front and back. ( Base GT) +35 offsets

2-3mm is tight but you should be fine on track. Mark the strut to check it afterwards if you’re curious.

What offset are the LMR GT7s? I have to run 3-5mm spacers up front with wider than average 285s on 19x10 +40 wheels, so +40 is iffy, but +35 should be fine.

All 285/35R19 are not exactly the same size, plus camber, ride height etc. will also impact clearance.
