I am getting new tires tomorrow and I was set on 275/35R19 square but now I am wondering if 275/40R19 would be better. Stock suspension GT premium non PP 19's. BTW I know they will bulge a little on these wheels but my concern is rub and how they will look. I know I can mount them.

I vote 275 40 19. 27.6" tall which I think is perfect on these cars unless crazy lowered like 3" on Coilovers.

275/40/19 look like truck tires. Go 35 series for sure, especially if you're lowered or will lower.

It also depends on rear end ratio a bit. I have an Auto with 3.55 rear so the taller the tire the better. If I had a 3.15 car I'd want the 35s for a little more low end.

I like the look of the 40 better in any case.

It's about .5" taller for the 40's or .4" shorter for the 35's. I just want to make sure they won't rub in the front. It would be a real pain in the ass to have to return them.

Both choices will work just fine, as it comes down mostly on what look you like, but we run 275/40 on most of our setups. Heres a picture on one thats Lowered on Eibach Springs 1.3 inch Front & 1.5 inch rear.. Just in case you were thinking about lowering in the future.

I'm pretty happy with my "truck tires".

FYI, this is my old Jeep with a "truck tire". They are different, lol.
