Today i had my car on idle for about 1 hr.
cylinder head temp got to 259 and the guuge was like 3/4s to the hot side.
coolant temperature said normal. I read on another thread to check for air on the system. Any tips on what else to check for?
Btw when running cht are on the low 200s .
the cooling system was worked on due to a repair so maybe it does have air on the system.

ill will be installing the 170° thermostat this weekend since i finally going to get 2 days off..
and going to try to fix this issue.. another thing i notice is engine bay heat is way worse with the headers than with stock manifolds

o yeah with headers you'll always have more heat in the bay with headers .. yeah do the 170 t stat.. after that burp the system.. and make sure to have the heat on full blast when your burping it .. helps get the air out of the heater core

burping it is pretty much leaving the cap off the rad... when cold of course, let it idle with the heat on full blast when it gets up to temp.... then keep squeezing the upper and lower rad hose . lower first then upper if you see bubbles then its getting air out ... old school but it still works
