Since I haven't had the chance to do this to my personal car I figure I would post pics of a customers car and also a mustang6g member.

The exterior of this 2015 was in good shape from the start, and I'm sure most people would be content with the way this particular mustang looked, but I knew we could really make the Ruby Red paint pop. After spending roughly 10 hours polishing the exterior to correct any and all paint imperfections, we were ready for 22Ple.

Looks great. What did that cost them?

i have the 22ple pro on order, will be doing my car as soon as i get it in 12 days. That stuff is simply amazing. None of the current coatings can match its "wet" look. That car looks as if it were just dipped in clearcoat! It is pricey though.

What polish did you use on the paint? I plan on using my menzerna 4500 after claying the car to add shine to the factory finish and remove any moicro scratches. Hopefully nothing more abrasive is needed on a new car, but i have some chemical guys V34 and V36 ready if needed.

For a new car - depending on the paint obviously - I really like a Menzerna 2500 followed by a 4500 - very good results in almost all scenarios.

This is how that combo turned out on my GT-R. Flawless.

On this particular paint I used a Rupes 21 polisher and rupes 75 mini with Lake country pads. For polishes I first used Menzerna 1500, to cut the clear and remove the haze that is so noticeable on the Ruby Red, We then went to Menzerna 2500, followed by Menzerna 4000, then Finished to polishing process wtih Menzerna 4500. There were a couple of spots on the car that needed to be sanded with 1500 grit then followed up with 3000.

Hope this helps

How does the finish compare to an opticoat treatment? I'm trying to decide what I want to do to mine out of the two.

As for opti coat you get your gloss from the prep work, which in this case would be your polishing to correct any issues. What Opti Coat lacks in gloss it absolutely makes up for in durability, I personally have Opti Coat on my 2015 and I have 22ple on my Foxbody. If your mustang is a sunny weather only car then you really can't beat 22ple, but if you daily drive your 2015 like me, Opti Coat Pro is the winner.
