Mine was supposed to be built the week of 8/15. That week came and went. This morning I get an email saying it's not built, says supply chain issues are still affecting production and that I'd get another communication in at least 45 days.
Well it wasn't too terribly long ago when I got an email that said parts were secured and the build was scheduled for the week of 8/15.
Frustrating? Let's talk about frustrating. I own a fox body, and an old ford diesel. I can't drive the fox body, it's almost always broken. That leaves my truck as sole reliable transportation. But....the truck is filling the cooling system with fuel. Injector cups are leaking, bad, and there are other issues as well. I go through 8 gallons of coolant a month, have to flush it about once a month. I don't have any vacation time left at work, had to use it for medical purposes earlier this year. Fixing the truck is going to take me a week of nonstop work, working all day long. Even a repair shop said that cups and injectors will be a minimum of 4 days work by time they order/install everything. I don't have that time. I don't have any family to borrow a car from. Renting? LOL! Diesel is still higher than a cat's back in cost. At current, I'm spending almost $1050/mo in transportation costs JUST to go to work and back home which is about 18 miles one way-I don't go anywhere else to speak of, other than the 1.6 miles to the grocery store which I use my bicycle for. When I ordered this '22 Ecoboost in April, the truck was fine. Now it's not.
I'm fixing to head over to the dealer today and gripe not that it will do any good but at least it'll make me feel better. I'm done, I'm over waiting for a new car. This is simply unacceptable especially in my situation. I simply cannot afford to wait any longer. I'll go pick up some piece of trash to drive while the truck is down. I've been stashing some of my paychecks back to pay for this '22 order and since it appears that it's not going to show up, I may just use it for another brand. Maybe I can find a little Kia or something, at this point I don't care so long as it's something to drive while I can work on the truck. Ford just lost them a sale and probably a loyal lifelong Ford customer.

i just said f**k yea so loud in a quiet room!! just got my email from ford i am shedualed for 10/3. i hope it dosent get set back 50 times like everyone else. maby i will get to drive it before xmas...

Order confirmation received August 5th and scheduled today for production the week of October 10th.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go spend the rest of my day vibrating with excitement, eating cake, reading digital owner manuals, and watching Mustang YouTube videos like the nerd I am lol

Piggybacking off that, don’t give up hope yet. Emails can still be rolling out throughout the day today and tomorrow, and likely some more cleanup scheduling will happen next week as well.

Connected with Ford Performance chat this morning - they're absolutely awesome with updates. Found out that my shipping window has definitely pushed to 8/26 - 9/1, but that 9/1 might be a stretch and to check back next week.
