22 S550 Tracking Thread

... aaaand another delay! Production moved to 08/13.

The full timeline is this:
Ordered 04/16
First production date of 06/29 (Before serialization)
Delayed to 08/01 (After VIN assigned)
Delayed again 08/13

As far as I can tell now the delays are becoming shorter and shorter. Knocking on wood Flat Rock is not being idled anymore for material shortages... and 4 months from order to build is pretty typical.
Edit: for some reasons my dealer is telling me that the last date looks "definitive". I don't know how he substantiate this claim.

FFS... Just like I asked the others, can you tell me if you ordered from a big dealership or a smaller one?

I ordered from a fairly large dealership. What’s odd is I was told that someone else had put in a mustang order about 3 weeks before mine, and theirs just got a scheduled build date a little over a month ago now. Still no word on mine though.

Hey everyone! Been a long time since I posted on this forum; mostly because I didn’t have the S550 anymore. Something about buying a house and being responsible. Now that that’s over I am jumping back into a Mustang. Here’s my timeline so far:

04-09-2022: Order placed
04-11-2022: Order Confirmed
04-18-2022: scheduled for build 06-27
04-25-2022: rescheduled 06-23
05-18-2022: rescheduled 07-18
06-21-2022: rescheduled 07-25

I just called my sales rep and they confirmed I have a vin and tentative build date of the 28th already. I was also told I have price protection for the agreed upon purchase price on 04-09-2022. This was an X-plan order.

On that note special shout-out to Sawgrass Ford who besides being one of the few dealers taking X-plan at the time (I was told no by several other dealers), the experience has actually been very positive. It was like being in a different century compared to the other dealers around here. The order was set up via their internet sales using their online order, and it was 30 minutes between me arriving at the dealer and signing/leaving a deposit. It would have been shorter but my wife wanted to check out the Mustangs on the lot (they only had 2). Needless to say she was sold once she fired up the GT with the active exhaust

We’re hoping the car gets to the dealer around the middle to end of August if all goes well.

Lol I’m just about at 34 weeks and still haven’t heard anything, you gotta have a little more patience than that. And yes, I ordered from a high volume dealer, don’t think it really matters all that much.

That’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ve seen people in here saying they’ve ordered and received their car within like 3-4 months. I don’t understand how that works lol

I just received notification that the dealership has received my mustang.
6/25 - Shipped with ETA of 7/29
6/13 - built
4/17 - received build date
3/28 - order confirmation
3/23 - placed order

I picked it up today. The dealer honored the March price even though the sticker reflected a price increase.
