Recently got the itch to get back into the V8/manual muscle combination. Naturally i started looking at mustangs since i had them previously. I shopped around a bit, mostly looking for a used GT350 because of the stellar reviews of it, but test driving everything I could. I should also point out that I change my mind about every day in what I really want and given that I only have the space for 1 car, a decision must be made. I ended up submitting an order for a GT Premium Performance Pack (loaded and tweaked just the way i want it including midnight blue interior) from a local dealer and no sooner did I submit that than I got a call from a other dealer with a 2019 GT350 with 4k miles on it, discussed with the wife and bought it. Figured I’d drive it a bit while the other car was being built andI’ve had it about 3 weeks now and I have to say, very incredible car. Now to my point…I want to drive the car…all the time, I dont want to keep a relic in the garage. Mustangs were built to be driven. Unless im doing truck stuff, I want to drive the mustang so it needs to double as a good daily. I already have a car seat ready to install for my son. Would y’all keep the 350 and drive it ā€œdailyā€? Is it impractical? It seems to ride lower than i remember my older mustangs and that front splitter is so low i have to exit my driveway in a certain way to avoid scraping it. It has the most unique sound I’ve ever heard in a mustang but would the driving experience be more commute friendly in the GT? I did spec the car out with every option including the performance pack, magnaride and active exhaust. It is being built now. I like the 350 but im not attached to it yet. It drives smooth but hard, it wants to go fast and seems very unhappy below 3K rpm, I also want to put my son in it, but with how the 350 drives I’m having second thoughts. This car was built fornthe track and it drives like it was designed. I’ve done a lot of research on both cars and realistically none of my cars will ever see a track day. I just want to find some nice paved country roads and just drive. Whats the better car for that? GT or 350? Note, I did also drive several Mach1s but eliminated that as an option due to preferring the exterior look of the GT PP and 350.

I have a 2020 GT PP1 with a lot of suspension mods and a Whipple, about 3 weeks ago I added a 2018 GT350 to my collection and I love it so far. I’ve ordered a bunch of parts for it too, but I wouldn’t hesitate to DD it. In stock form I like the GT350 a lot more than the GT, however the GT doesn’t have the Magnaride. If I had to choose only one it would be the Shelby.

As a GT350 owner, I would never want to daily it. I love my car, but it's not that comfortable on the city roads. It's tiny inside. The b ack seat is a joke. Combine that with the fact that I would have to stuff two kids in it, no thank you. That said, the GT is going to be no bigger, but the ride is likely more comfortable.

Just my two cents since I have two kids, my son is three, and he has to sit in the front seat because his carseat is too big for the back (when I had a back seat), and there is no way our 1 yo's rear facing car seat fits back there. If I were you, and didn't have a daily driver, I would look elsewhere.

Or get the GT350. Hell I love mine!

I was in a similar situation with my SCAT pack charger...It was a 2016 with only 37k miles...the market went nuts, so I was going to get good $ for it...so I looked at the ZL1 and GT350. (had an SRT8 Challenger in 2012). Anyway, I wanted a V8 and 6-speed. Drove the ZL1 and it's just too small inside. I knew there were issues with visibility, but I didn't think my 12yo daughter wouldn't fit in the backseat...she had to tilt her head.

The mustang was a bit bigger, so went with that. Now the GT350...I wanted a 19 or 20 as it had the newest version of the voodoo and I loved the rear spoiler. Finding one that wasn't way overpriced was the real challenge. I also looked into the roush S3...it was similarly priced. Just nothing under 65k (a year ago). Almost pulled the trigger on a 20 GT350 with 4k miles...they wanted 67 and gave a good offer on my trade, but it was red. And a roush is really hard to find, almost pulled the trigger on a 19 with 5k miles, but it was white.

Finally, I came across a black 21 GT fully loaded except magna. Deal almost fell through because they wanted 5k ADM...talked them down to 1500...then they screwed up the paperwork and ended up being only 1k. Figured it was worth that with the $ from my trade.

I also want to use my Mustang every day.

If I could have bought one new, I'd daily a GT350 with warranty.

But 3-4 years old and with what we know about the voodoo now? I would not buy that and daily it at that age.

I also like to do some mods, and I have learned here on these forums that modding a GT350 in a way that changes noise/vibrations can be detrimental to the engine.

I have so much fun daily driving my regular GT.

I guess I'm not picky on color as much. I have colors I won't buy (silver, school bus yellow) but on the GT350 there are so many unique color + vinyl stripe options. The one I have is white plus navy stripes with black accents, it looks very sharp. The GT PP I have on order is fully loaded with every option in Grabber Blue + midnight blue interior. For those wondering the 19 GT350 is still under 36
Month warranty (service in date of 12-2020), I havent bought an extended warranty but considering it it I keep it.

This is enough for me to say go with the GT. I wish Grabber Blue was available when I ordered so badly. It is my favorite Mustang blue of all time.

Same here, if I could have ordered a new one right now I would have.
