'21 Mustang GT. Sync 3. Honestly wasn't sure what this recall was for, received it in October of last year via letter (different from the backup camera one done a year ago if I recall).
Last summer the sync started acting up out of nowhere, really thought it was a module issue. No change or update just out of nowhere. Screen wouldn't boot up one of every five starts (had to hold the two buttons down to reset it), and for the last year every time the car would start the sync would lose the touch screen beep setting, it kept resetting itself to on. After this winter, the clock wouldn't keep its setting as well, kept going ahead or back an hour randomly. I thought it was the battery at first and almost bought a new one, until I did this recall.
Thank you Ford... because the bluetooth and apple car play connection is lightening fast now and the whole system seems much quicker. Clock is fine, touch screen beep stays off. Really impressed how they've sped up the system it feels like. Anybody else with similar results?
