I wonder how many Mach 1 owners drive the Mach 1 even close to what it is capable of?
The hot lap with the instructor in the driver seat was eye-opening at Track Attack. Especially since those HP Mach 1 cars were fitted with PS4S tires. I was cruising back home after that and felt I was sitting inside a rocket ship on idle.

Well guys, I’m probably just a moron.
I jacked up the car tonight and unbolted most of the underbelly plastic piece, 6 screws. Got under with a flashlight and determined it’s got to be a slow run off of oil from filter spillage. Sprayed a bunch of brake cleaner and wiped it all. Put it all back together. I really don’t think it s the plug, so I’m not emptying it. I will monitor it now.
Maybe a false alarm, but I’ve never had this happen in all my oil changes so we will see.

Same thing happened to me, and like you I cleaned it and it was nothing to worry about.

My dumbass forgot to try the Oil-Udder during the oil change. So you are not a moron.

What makes you qualify that statement? Why, I’ll bet he’s just as much of a moron as anyone else on here including myself. :cwl:

The photo of you car makes me wonder if I should worry less about finding a HP car, and use the savings to buy some aftermarket wheels! Did you ditch your HP wheels just for color, or to go to a "square" setup? I love your hood as well: the GT hood is the only thing I don't like about the M1.
I sold my O.E. HP wheels and replaced them with the SVE HP's which got powder coated "gloss triple bronze". I went square for the winter, mounted with 285 A/S Conti's. I wanted to go with square SVE HP wheels, but they've been on back order for a couple months. Right now I need to repair the powder coat on one of my SVE HP wheels before summer, it got curbed.

Me too, about the hood, I liked the older GT hood vents, but the one's on the 2019+ I don't like. Plus the louvers on the hood match the louvers on the back window!

Yeah. The hot lap was eye opening. It really demonstrated what the car can do. It was a lot of fun. I wish we could ask the drivers questions after the hot laps, but they were moving us through so quickly. 10/10 experience. I am trying to sell my wife on a two-day class for me. Wish me luck.

Luck!

Ok, not a car, but I did a tandum on a bike with a retired AMA racer and about shriveled from fright. And I thought I wasn't too bad, indeed had been complemented on the smoothness and cornerspeed during previous coaching. Ha, clearly they were being VERY kind.

I did some suspension work for one of the fast guys (lap record holder in class) and he dropped 3 seconds a lap. Not 0.3, THREE full seconds. I went out with him to see if I could follow along and I lasted all of 2 turns, he had his forearm on the tarmac. If nothing else it demonstrated just how important suspension was to speed and reading the tarmac for max performance.

Isn’t the HP a bit more than external pieces for aero and grip? I thought it also had adjustable cambers, thicker sway bars/struts, and a dedicated magneride setup. Like a R- version of the normal Mach1.
And the Mach1 it's around 2-2'5 inches higher than HP.

Good good young Skywalker. Soon you will feel the full power of the Marketing side of the Force.

Not saying you're necessarily wrong but given how lazy Ford is, any such tweaks are minor at best. In any event for half the money the aftermarket does better anyway.
