From my perspective, the benefit you get is being able to run a good concave wheel in the front and back as opposed to concave in back and flat in front/minimal concavity. Also, some wheels do not come in 10" and only 10.5" so by doing this and knowing what offset/tire size/wheel width works it gives all of us more options.

GuardGT, I'm confused, you mention wanting to put 275s on and now you see you can do that and still have room for adjustments. But plenty of S550s are already running square fitments with 275s and lowered springs. One guy in Miami is running 285s in square fitment even. So my confusion comes in trying to figure out the edge you get by trying to put the 10.5 rims when 10s would allow the same tires with no issues.
Because now I know 10.5s fit square with a much more aesthetic and even concave(in my wheel model at least vs the x10 et40), and I can run 275s even 285s as you stated, without issues, and go even lower than your average mustang driver. I also can widen my inner section of the rears another 1.5" and can run a much more massive tire if I no longer want to be square. As I stated, this is just a daily driver... Nothing more. So looks, sound, and driving feel is all I care about, and I'm happy with my whee choice.

Wheels are on point as well as your collection of ponies and taste in fine drink.

Im on the opposite side of the bay with a new Guard GTPP that is getting a few mods here and there. Definitely looking to get a set of trick wheels and this post helps. Thanks and see you around the bay.

Thinking about getting this setup. Think 305s would for in the back with that offset?

Love the wheel for sure, crazey nice. Looks great from a distance, but again too much tire stretch for my licking, but I do like some. 275/35 would look better and with a little camber should slide under the fender. Here are my Niche Vicheza 20x10 40mm offset with 275/35.

Love this look. Like the OPs other than stretched tire look.

OP what is your suspension set up? You mention going lower but not what set up you have or plan to get. I ask because I plan to keep an eye on your results later on if you do air ride or coilovers.

I think he has sportline springs which is alreĂ dy on the low side. I think the car sits right as is and with a taller sidewall like 275/35 will fill the wheel well nicely.

Yeah I'm on sportlines for now. The wife shut down any major mods after the wheels till we buy a house... But I'll be running some air ride from my buddy at becausebags.

Get the air ride and just leave it aired up around her and hide the compressor and everything in the spare tire location. She'll never know. Haha

Thanks, did we determine that 275/35 on these would work?? Or maybe 285? I'm trying to decide between 19" or 20"....mines a daily too so I'm thinking 19"

This pic was with Eibach ProKit, and looks great from this angle but really needs to be lower in the front which is apparent from a profile shot. I now have the CJ pony springs which drops the front another .4 inch and is perfect now.

Ya I have just been going back and forth with Paul on tire size....I got the Misano's ordered, but didn't think the 275 all around would look right, ordered 275 in front and 315 in back....now I see that 275 all around is where I like it....I'm on sportlines btw like GuardGT...
