Wow, showroom car! The Dank Horse at my dealer was sticker $74,300. Shitty color Vapor Blue. ADM $14,088. +20%. $88,388. When I went back for another service visit a week later the sales dweeb bragged someone paid +5,000 over MSRP. Oh Well. I would rather buy a C8.

If you've all seen the tune file on the DH vs the GT, you'd really be surprised people are paying this much more for a few tq management changes. LOL

These are the ONLY engine tune differences between the 24 GT and 24 DH. Its all just lighter tq management values.

your not holding the note on all that inventory on dealers lots, they are.
a smart buyer watches a dealers inventory on the computer and after 6 months on the lot they want to stop the bleeding. i did this and got a new off the lot '16 GT for $30k and 3 years later traded for the BULLITT and got $25 on the trade. its coming the big bubble burst wait and see.
why do you think slightly used cars are selling better than new!

Who holds the note? When does the dealer pay the motor company, and how much? After that, does the dealer pay interest payments to a bank until the car is sold? How much a day? The floor plan by the motor company gives the dealer "interest free" for 90 days, often More? Does that mean they pay their "invoice price" when the car is dropped? Hard to find answers.

When my old man was a GM of a dealer he said the cars were on consignment.

Invoice paid when the title paperwork changed names from *Ford* to the new owner.

*was not a Ford dealer.

EDIT the only time inventory hurt him was during the Federal year end. He had to pay tax on the value of the inventory.

That's what I thought. The dealer has no skin (money) in the game. Motor companies incentives increase as inventory ages to make room for next year's inventory. Why they fought Musk so hard. It's illegal for him to operate service centers in my state much less sell a car.

Don’t kid yourself. They absolutely have skin in the game. A flooring line is one of the most difficult things to acquire in business, especially if they hold there own mso’s and titles. Dealers have ILOC’s in place that protect the flooring companies if they get out of trust or go under. Most of the time its an out of trust situation. The dealers flooring line can be set up any number of ways down to individual cars. Some may come with flooring interest built in for 3 months or out to 9 months in some cases. The only time it doesn’t cost the dealer is when the manufacturer needs to move oberstocked units and they get sent to certain dealers. In general in those situations the over stock of units of whatever model go to very high volume aggressive dealers that have a proven track record.

If you remove the Recaros and the painted stripes thats almost 7K off! Then it will cost 70K MSRP not bad at all, my M1 HP was 67K MSRP. BUT I still rather have the S550 M1 HP.

No way I would pay a ADM for a DH. If something happened to my M1 where I needed a new car, I am looking for lightly used 22 GT500 or a C8 for that amount of $.
