Looking to either modify the lid of my 23, or buy a swapped out 2018-2020 and either just swap the lid or swap the whole intake if needed…

Anyone tried this without CEL issues? The one I found may come with it’s MAF too, would using that be an issue or would I want to reuse my stock MaF and go from there.

The car will be boosted soon enough so I don’t see much gain in getting a CAI. I will be doing longtubes and e85 with a tune soon, I plan to just run a better flowing dropin and make sure the intake path from the grill is clear with a cervinis upper.

Anything done before the MAF is pretty much irrelevant.

What matters is that the shape and size of the tube where the MAF is located is the same. If the intake you are swapping is a different size or shape at the MAF location it will not work without a tune adjustment.

If the other MAF is a direct replacement for the stock part it should be fine, there is no tune needed for stock replacement MAFs.

I just swapped over my MAF and installed a 2019 lid... Will report back if this causes an issue.

Note to anyone who does this; loosen the worm gear, pull the tube off FIRST, then shimmy the lid off, otherwise you'll be wasting time and strength doing it the other way around... as well as concoct new curse phrases that you didn't know existed.
