I'm hoping its the pesky flex pipe, I'm well connected enough with Borla to get the mufflers replaced if it is the muffler, but it just doesn't sound like its coming from the rear, and of course like OP I am unable to...
I had this issue too and never really found a source or a remedy. I have a theory that it is coming from the flex pipe, or possibly the heat shielding. I am about a week or two away from finally getting my longtubes and first stage of mods in, i'll sound off here if one of my theories checks...

It was the ACM. Shoutout to autonation ford for figuring it out. They changed the amp first, when that didn’t work they changed out the ACM and the sound has vanished. Music sounds better too.
Since the dash is easier to pull apart I took the center speaker out of the equation too… may upgrade...
I plan to tune with Lund but don’t want to get married to a dead platform as far as the device goes.

Just an update on this;
Dealer got the new amp, swapped it, problem is still there.
They want to change the ACM now 🤦‍♂️, this means another part delivery and then tearing the dash apart to replace the “radio” so to speak.
The service advisor has been real courteous and easy to work with but...
I saw these and considered them but ultimately don't think they'll work after I have the coilovers in and the ride height adjusted. Seems like theres issues with turning these inward and hitting GT wheel wells
