2022 Order Questions

Has anyone ordered a 2022 Mustang GT California Special? If so, what color? I tried to order a Rapid Red convertible today & the dealer told me that the CS is only available in Black & not available with the Performance Package. I have seen info that the 2022 CS is available for 2022 in White, Black. Silver, Atlas Blue, Orange, Grey, Rapid Red & was available in multiple colors for 2021. Also, the ability to order the Performance Package with the CS is new for 2022.
Thanks for any clarification you can provide. I suspect my dealer (or at least the salesperson) is just not up to speed on the 2022 options.

I ordered a 2022 GT/CS convertible in Atlas Blue with Performance Package, Active Exhaust, Magnaride and B&O System,. The latest up date I received from Ford is in production the week of February 14th Sounds like your dealership is thinking a 2021 options. Go elsewhere.

Dave, I think your dealer was pulling your leg. Either that or you really found the dumbest dealer in the USA. With the addition of the available PP and MagneRide the 2022 CS should be the best one ever. And the most expensive.

Thanks for the input. My salesmen confirmed that he was trying to configure my order using the 2021 info. That still does not explain why he said Shadow Black is the only color for CS !
He did confirm that he was able to configure GT/CS convertible in Rapid Red with Performance Package, Active Exhaust, & Magneride. Also confirmed they will honor X Plan Pricing. However, he said that the B&O radio can not be had on a convertible. I will address that issue today & if necessary, will call another dealer.

Bikeman! I am amazed when people who are supposed to be sales specialists have no knowledge of the product they are selling. I will stick with the dealer if we can sort this out, but there certainly are other dealers nearby if needed. And yes. It is expensive!

Nope, that’s also wrong. B&O is available in the vert with either the 400a or 401a packages. By the way hope you ordered the 401a. It’s worth it.

Yes. I will order 401A & Automatic. Was thinking of the Eruption Green but decided I want the CS in Rapid Red. Now just waiting for dealer to confirm the B&O radio.

Ford still doesn’t have the order form on the website but I found this on the bottom of the page. It just refers you to a dealer for MY22.

I pulled the trigger today. Placed my order for a 2022 GT/CS Convertible, Rapid Red, Automatic, 401A, GT Performance Pack, Magneride, Active Exhaust, B&O Radio. Now the wait begins while I sell my 2013 GT Convertible.

Not sure but dealers have all the info to price & place orders. Prices are up a few hundred dollars.

Yeah, sure. Is it? No. Why? Who knows. When will it be up? Whenever Ford decides to do it.

Just FYI, this question comes up every year and the answer is always the same. No rhyme or reason as too when they hit the switch.

Does anyone know when the tracker will start working for 2022 models? I received my vin in early December, but every time I check the Ford tracker it says invalid info.
