Just got bad news my car was scheduled 9/12 build week but just was informed by FP its not until 9/27 now

this blows

I think we were both originally build week 9/12 buddies.
As of Saturday I was scheduled to the day for 9/20. We'll see if that sticks.

Cool. Yes, I'd like to do that. My car is MIA. Ordered in January, blend in mid June. Last I heard it was in the Penske paint process. But here we are in September and crickets. Hopefully it's waiting in a rail yard safely.

They just pushed my date to receive it from 9/11 to 9/18 to now 10/2 to 10/8. They seem to be having problems with the transport

So, I did my best to read through various threads. Is Oct 2022 it for 2022 GT500 scheduled production? If so, do existing unfulfilled dealer allocations essentially just disappear into the ether?

If your priority code is not 01-09 then your dealer does not have an existing "allocation" applied to your order, and if they're telling you they do, Run.

I don't know of a single dealer who has unused allocations, all MY22 Mustang orders were due for submission to Web Dealer in Early Aug, and all existing order changes lock in 8 days.

If a dealer is "Still waiting" for an allocation, and your order has a PC code of between 10-99, start looking on lots.

This is exactly correct. Ford is having a real bad transport issue due to a lack of drivers.

Got this from my dealership today upon request. I'm trying to be patient so I don't even ask often.

It would be nice to get this car before the cold temps arrive. I don't want to have to put Sottozeros on this thing...

This is exactly correct. Ford is having a real bad transport issue due to a lack of drivers.

Most Mustangs get shipped by rail, to include to NY. Must have a full rail car before it leaves. That’s the biggest issue.

Could be but the number I was given is there are 40k Fords in Dearborn and Detroit that need to be shipped whether it‘s truck or rail.

And remember to take what FP Staff tells you with a grain of salt. They are an outsourced marketing organization that has nothing to do with FRAP. All they do is read you the VVR your dealer can see.
They are nice kids and want to help, but are not part of the process. We learned this a long time ago.

They aren’t outsourced. They are in house & some have been with Ford for a long time from what I heard. But you are correct that they access the VVR like the dealer but mind you that report is as real time as you can get on status. The only difference is they won’t always give As much granular detail like the dealer will give as they are technically not supposed to.

Well, in anticipation of not getting an actual build I took to the streets at the recommendation of basically the entire forum and scored the exact config I wanted. A 2021, CFTP, Black POTS, Race Red, black roof, immaculate condition, + owners kit and all accessories. Just out of break-in mileage. STOKED. Pictures to come this weekend!

Well, in anticipation of not getting an actual build I took to the streets at the recommendation of basically the entire forum and scored the exact config I wanted. A 2021, CFTP, Black POTS, Race Red, black roof, immaculate condition, + owners kit and all accessories. Just out of break-in mileage. STOKED. Pictures to come this weekend!

That's a rare bird with the black roof in race red.

Heritage in garage now I have to clean her up, install the parts in boxes.....Finally joined the family....2021 Rapid Red in picture going in 3 weeks being traded in for a 22 CFTP.....this is an exciting day for me guys!!
