That was the last 4 of the vin. Not sure on chassis number. It was posted for sale in a classified group on Facebook. I think the blend date was 5/5 iirc.
Last 4 of VIN has no bearing on chassis number or build number or really pretty much anything to do with car counts. Chassis numbers are as close to a production count as we can get.

My base build is in production 1 week early according to my dealer which I was able to confirm via Ford Performance chat support today.

Anyone have a solid answer on how the price increase effects cars ordered before the increase details were officially released by Ford? Articles I'm seeing are all dated around Mid February 2022. I ordered my GT500 on Jan 4th 2022. The contract I signed says MSRP plus 10k ADM.

I have to imagine the dealer is going to want to charge me whatever the MSRP is currently, or on the window sticker. My window sticker hasn't been revealed yet on the tracker. I have to think that this is a point of contention for some buyers who ordered their GT500s pre-increase. Anybody?

I'm fairly confident the MSRP on the window sticker is based off the price level from when the order was submitted, if you made changes after a price change and the price level is now different, it's up to you/dealer to figure out what. But for an order placed at an older price level when the MSRP is generated on the sticker it's using that base price.

I believe it has to be a special order as noted on the order form to be locked in. If it was a stock order, it may not count.
This can be confirmed by the $$ numbers on the DORA, which also shows it was a special order.
It’s Ford honoring the price, not the dealer as they won’t eat that kind of loss.

Window sticker pricing is based upon current prices when order is “in production” at factory. What you ultimately SHOULD pay is whatever you negotiated with dealer at time of submitting your order regardless of price increases. That’s not to say your dealer won’t try to charge you more based upon price increases. However a reputable dealer should honor it ESPECIALLY if you have a signed contract explicitly showing your cost. If you have a copy of the DORA from time of submitting order it will show pricing from that time.

You may be correct, but that does not match any of the GT500's delivered to my local dealers where window stickers reflect 230 level pricing but were "produced" well into the 235 level pricing being effective.

@The Chairman @26E2A30D6F67 is this the Dora? Type: Retail, Price Code 220.

They should honor that MSRP of $73,465 ($92,400 w options)?

The sales contract says "MSRP + 10K ADM". So they can wiggle on me and I'm sure they'll try. I wish I had them write the actual total. They probably knew an increase in MSRP was coming as it often does. I was blinded by the 10K ADM so I was just focused on getting it down from the 25k they wanted.

i posted this on another forum back in early may. this email was from my dealer as we were communicating about this exact issue...

"Ford is doing price protection. It is not valid at time of sale though. Within 45 days after the sale Ford cuts a check for the invoice difference to us and we send one to you."

"You are protected at the difference between the original invoice and the new invoice price. Not the MSRP. You will have to pay whatever the new MSRP is then Ford will send a difference check based on the invoice $ differences."

"We need to wait for the official final invoicing. Ford will send us a check within 45 days after the sale. Sorry it’s not the best answer, but it is how Ford is doing it. At least they are reimbursing customers something. Most manufacturers are not doing this."

What I’ve surmised from multiple sources is every dealer does it differently. Some will simply go by price in initial sales contract & others force you to go by window sticker at delivery. Either way THE DEALER gets the price protection. How they do/don’t pass on to consumer is up to them. But the old saying of buyer beware certainly fits!

With respect to price protection, I have found much of the same: confusion and inconsistency, from Ford on down.

I ordered a Mach 1 at 220 level. The window sticker is marked and priced at 235 level and includes all the price increases which have been announced.

Price protection is afforded to special orders, orders placed by individuals and later sold to that same individual. The window sticker should be marked as "Special Order" and be green. IMO, price protection does not apply to dealer orders, those placed under the name of the dealer and not a customer.

Some dealers are working price protection directly with Ford. Other dealers will ask/require the buyer pay the new price, with the dealer then submitting for price protection. Once the refund is received, they pass it along to the buyer. Still other dealers appear to not be supporting price protection at all, especially if the initial deal was based on a price under invoice (never going to happen for a GT500, I know). Finally, I'm afraid there are a handful of dealers which don't tell their customers about price protection, or, are not aware of the program.

IMO, price protection is something to be worked out between the dealer and Ford. However, some dealers don't want to be short potentially thousands of dollars while the paperwork is going through; they expect the customer to live with it until the check arrives form Ford, about 45 days after the sale.
