Did they mention what their allocation allotment is? I had two dealers say they get 2 a year unless they trade for or buy someone elses car. They also said they have to "pay" to be able to sell Shelby's. Also, I've heard and seen dealer ADMs for this Heritage version up to 25k. However, I've already heard a few stories about MSRP for a non HE non CFTP. It's the wild west out there. What are you looking for exactly?
Ideally a HE to go with my GT350R Heritage. But won't pay ADM. My local dealer will sell me a non-HE for MSRP once the window opens for them. So will go that route if needs be.

Want to clarify the change to the side stripes for '22, they now add "GT500", and with no changes to width, correct?
Thanks

I believe the GT500 on the side is only for the HE cars. I have no clue on the size.

Thanks, that’d be unfortunate if it’s only for the HE cars but I get they’re trying to do little things to make it special. Makes me want to order a base w/o the ss and get the HE ss, and I agree with a previous poster, all GT500’s should have the option for it as it truly pays homage to the 60’s version.

I agree. I was looking to do that on my 2020. I really like the look of having GT500 on sides.

After 15-20 phone calls, I got extremely lucky and was able to get an order in at MSRP for a GT500 Heritage Edition. So happy I was able to do it locally as well (New England). Most dealers were $10-15 over. One was $5K. Then I hit the jackpot with an MSRP option and the gentleman couldn’t have been nicer.

By end of next week, I hope to hear if it’ll be predicted March or June build.

I hope you have read this whole thread. Be careful out there. Your process sounds exactly like the scam dealer approach to get your deposit money.
Honest dealer would tell you the order banks are not open and he has no allocations (yet). Telling you he should know by the end of next week when your delivery date will be is classic scam.
Hope your’s works out.

appreciate the guidance for sure. Nothing about this made me think scam. I can tell they are extremely sincere.

he reached out to his rep for confirmation of incoming allocation before collecting my deposit and they have tremendous reviews. Also, I work with car dealerships all day so I would like to think I can usually get a good read.

to confirm, he said by next week he hopes to know if it will be a March or June production run, not delivery.

appreciate the insight!

Nice to see these msrp deals let alone on an HE. Who’s the dealer?

For obvious reasons I’m not naming the name of my MSRP dealership until I have an actual final order. This is my 3rd Shelby to buy from them since 2017, so I’m sure it’s all good, but better safe than sorry. All have been MSRP sales including this CFTP HE car.
Hopefully by next week we will all have the answers we seek. Or by February more likely.

To add on, of the dealers I called, two committed to never selling any vehicles above MSRP which I appreciated.
My dealership is of the same mindset. Small town place that is family owned. This is key in finding MSRP deals IMO.

Called the GM today. No updates to be had. Again assured me as soon as they get allocations I’m number one on the list and the order will be submitted to Ford.
