2022 GT with diesel motor oil???

Is that just a hail Mary hoping for a new motor?
As long as the viscosity is right, diesel engine oil is not going to hurt anything. With all the extra additives the engine will probably be as clean as when it was new.

It's a totally different additive package for totally different environments and a big no. If only in there for a few miles no big deal.

I purchased a 14k mile 2022 GT from a Ford Dealership and after a month of ownership discovered that I have the Coyote tick. Nothing terrible, really loving the car but thought id check the service records of what was done prior to my purchasing of the vehicle . I noticed that the oil was changed and the part number for the oil shows "MotorCraft 10W-30 WSS-M2C1" which if I am not mistaken appears to be diesel engine oil according to the part number. Is this okay? Thanks

I think they got the viscosity wrong to begin with as the 2022 manual specifies 5W30 engine oil, not 10W30.

Last time I looked at a newer bottle I didn’t see the JASO spec.

I’m mistaken, the JASO rating is still listed on this current jug of T6 5W-40
