Car is a 2022 GT 10SPD with dealer installed Roush Supercharger and no other mods other than an H-pipe. Running the stock Roush tune.

10.5k miles / last oil change at 9.5k.

Was coming to a stop and went to give it gas after making a right turn, then the engine shut off. Didn’t even notice it until I tried to give it gas. All electronics stayed on radio etc. Display on the dash said “put the car in neutral to start” then switched to “put the car in park to start” I pulled over, put it in park and it started right back up totally fine. Pulled into a gas station and didn’t see anything abnormal (not that I really know where or what to look for) started back up again and drove another 25 minutes afterwards with no issues.

Any ideas? I’d like to make an appointment with the dealer but they usually seem like they know as much about things as I do…which is not much. But I’ll still see if they can look over it.

Could I have accidentally hit the ignition button? Would it cut the engine if I did that in D? I don’t THINK that’s the case or even know if it is a possibility; can’t imagine the car would let you do that but figured I’d ask.

Any insight before bringing it to them would be great. Thanks.

Personally, at this point, I'd chalk it up as a one off anomaly.
It's highly unlikely that anyone will be able to find anything until the problem is repeatable. And why pay someone to tell you they can't find anything.
Right now it could never do it again or it could start doing it every other drive. Until it starts repeating you'd just be wasting time and money.

Get a scanning tool to log your drives. I had a bronco that would stall on a hard right turn takeoff from a stop.

That’s what I’m hoping. Just happy it was at low speeds. Has me a little stressed out driving it now.

I look into it. Where do I get one?

I wouldn’t be too concerned. Happened to my 2019 GT twice in 73,000 miles. Once right after I dropped off the dog at daycare to go to Vegas and we made the trip no problem.

This makes me feel better. Same exact thing?

Being boosted definitely adds in the stress of random things happening being detrimental.

Thanks.

I wasn’t boosted but I was tuned by Lund. I loved the tune the entire time I owned the car but twice I just kind of came around a corner and stepped on it and everything shut off. Scared me a little but it only happened as I said twice in a long period of time.

If it is a manual you may have stumbled with the clutch on take off and killed the motor.

I had this happen with my fiesta st. It ended up being a loose air intake pipe that set off the mass air flow sensor and it turn the car off. I would check those connections.
