This happened to me on the interstate in Louisville going about 70 with jersey barriers on both side . Put the car in neutral and hit the start button. Fired right back up the manual Mach 1 non hp was still under warranty. Took it to the dealer in Pittsburgh a few days later. They found something and had to install a software fix. This is a rare event but. Not unheard of by ford. For obvious reason they don’t acknowledge this but the head mechanic was aware of the issue

Car is a 2022 GT 10SPD with dealer installed Roush Supercharger and no other mods other than an H-pipe. Running the stock Roush tune.

10.5k miles / last oil change at 9.5k.

Was coming to a stop and went to give it gas after making a right turn, then the engine shut off. Didn’t even notice it until I tried to give it gas. All electronics stayed on radio etc. Display on the dash said “put the car in neutral to start” then switched to “put the car in park to start” I pulled over, put it in park and it started right back up totally fine. Pulled into a gas station and didn’t see anything abnormal (not that I really know where or what to look for) started back up again and drove another 25 minutes afterwards with no issues.

Any ideas? I’d like to make an appointment with the dealer but they usually seem like they know as much about things as I do…which is not much. But I’ll still see if they can look over it.

Could I have accidentally hit the ignition button? Would it cut the engine if I did that in D? I don’t THINK that’s the case or even know if it is a possibility; can’t imagine the car would let you do that but figured I’d ask.

Any insight before bringing it to them would be great. Thanks.
Dude I had this exact same thing happen with my then 2016 GT 10R80. Don't remember the mileage at the time but wasn't long after I bought her new. Stock, no mods. Same scenario, was at a red light. Went to give it gas and engine shut off. Was able to coast to pull over since stoplight was at a decline. Put it in park started fine and that was the ONLY time it happened during my 6 year ownership ('22 GT now). Weird
