Pin 1 sensor to pin 11 on connector inside the car
Pin 2 sensor to pin 12 on connector in car.

Look for the color codes on the wires too

Any idea if the 15-17 is the same? because I am totally down to do this mod.

I cannot figure out what a TE connector is. I Googled "automotive TE connector". Went to my local hot rod shop. Can you help me out?

This is the right pin for the connector. Make sure you use small wire like 20-22 gauge or so. I used normal 18 gauge primary I had around and it won't clear the connector receptacle.

OK Jay I found the 1 and 11 on the top row of the female plug and the 12 and 22 on the bottom row.

Did you use a tool to seat the TE connector in the plug? Or does it slide in and click lock? Can it go in wrong or is there only one way it will fit?

Could you post a picture before you stick the seat back in? Thanks!

Take out the red retainer then push in from behind being mindful of the orientation. If you look at the front you'll see the shape of the opening of the pin. I hade to "encourage" the pin into place from behind with a pick because my wire was too big but it was stiff enough you may still have to do the same. You'll see the face of the pin butt up against the front of the plug when it's seated.

No, unfortunately that is past any need I have as I don't track it. I just like adding back little features that I feel should have been part of the car like my missing glove box light.

I spent 3 hours at my local Ford dealer while they tried to flash my computer to display the axle temperature gauge. They could not do it. I was seated in a spot where I could see the car and they appeared to try several times without success.

They also don't seem to know much about this mod. So it makes me wonder if I did something wrong in the connection of the sensor? It was a pretty straightforward install following the diagrams provided earlier in this thread.

Has anyone done this mod and had the gauge work successfully?

I did. You can get the gauge as a gauge available to select for my gauges. You can't get the gauge to show in the list unless you have the center PP1 gauges configured though otherwise those values are on the gauge list and bump axle temp off. I compared every entry on the IPC as-built to a gt500 and those seemed to be the most likely difference but I could be wrong.

Could a flaw in my install make the gauge unavailable?

Or do I need a new Forscan tech?
