Hey guys, my installer wants me to pick up new plugs for my 2021 Mustang. He’s installing an ESS G3 kit. Running a 120 pulley on 93 octane. I’ve heard one step colder and I’ve also heard oem. What’s the right plug/gap I need for this set up?

I understand that people come to forums for help and to mine the experience of others. And that's great, there's lots to be learned.
But in cases like this wouldn't it be better to ask the manufacturer or the tuner? The manufacturer will know their equipment and the tuner will know what is optimal for your tune
Others experience with similar sit-ups may very well prove helpful. But in the end your car, set-up and tune will be subtlety different than anyone else's.

I can't help with which plugs but I just lost all faith in your installer if he's leaving it up to you on what plugs to run after adding a supercharger. He should at least have a recommendation if not a strong opinion of what plugs he wants to run on this rather large project he's in charge of.

My tuner had me upgrade to the GT500 spark plugs. SP-581 gapped to 0.026

Thanks for the responses. I appreciate you all taking the time to help. My installer did some digging while I was asking on this forum. He came up with Motorcraft M12405M50A, One step colder Coyote plug.

It just depends on what you're buying.
If you drive with a trunk full of parts to someone who can wrench and all he has to do is swing the wrench, then I wouldn't have a point.
But it seems to be different in this case?

Best to ask your tuner. But a lot of guys run the NGK 6510 - .028 gap. But again, you should double check with your tuner.

If the tuner has done the install before he knows what works if not run.
