I am fine if mine is the 12,000th Mach 1 off the line, as long as it is a '21 and in the configuration I want.
GM sold 19,495 units of C8 in their first year so that many Mach's should be a piece of cake, done with one hand tied behind their back. Not bad, really. 4 years of GT350 production in 1 year and even with COVID putting a spanner in the works.

OT: What does GM know about volume manufacturing of high-performance cars that Ford can't figure out? /ducking

Why is low chassis number so important?
Not all that important really, but since it will have a numbered plate on the dash I just think it will be cool to have a low number. I will drive mine so it is not going to be a show or storage vehicle. It will be to enjoy and not for an investment. And because I am 70 years old I am not at all worried about what it will be worth in 20 years.

I am sure, but since I will be 120 years old then, I am not counting on it.
there were apparently LOTS of 120yr olds doing their utmost civic duty this year, so I wouldn't count yourself out just yet. It's something about the weather (water?) in Michigan. But their secret is out, the well of eternal life exists, obviously. Where's Indiana Jones Senior, err Junior when you need him?

What kind of prices are you getting? MSRP, ADM, discount?
$1K over invoice. I was told no discounts (not even employee discounts apparently) because it's a limited production car. YMMV

I plan to still be driving mine in 20 years ... I won't be 90, but headed toward it!

Interesting reading. I was offered 1K off msrp. But 4500 would get the deal. I got 5700 off my Bullitt in early 2019 when folks were paying msrp or adm. All Ford dealers will honor the warranty regardless of where you buy it.
I bought my Bullitt in Texas and flew there to pick up. Recently I just misses a one owner 2018 Premium will every option but a stick. 52K sticker. 31,500. Got the deal as another salesman put the order in, so missed it. At that time I looked into shipping. I got dozens and dozens of quotes of 800-900 to ship it from Seattle to Detroit. Not bad if you are saving $4,500.

so the dealer "ate" their entire theoretical 'profit margin'? impressive. How much did they claw back on 'doc' fees?
i guarantee ford is giving nice rebates to dealerships that sell the mach 1 lol.

I’ll have to double check, don’t remember at the moment. It wasn’t anything that stood out to me as being unreasonable.

I’m sure they are. I don’t know what true dealer cost is but I assure you they are still making money on it. Not to mention it goes towards their sales numbers which must generate other bonuses from Ford. This dealer has been great and At this point I won’t even bother shopping local ever again. Locally I’m being told $5k-$8k adm lol

Well Everyone, I received the email I’ve been eagerly awaiting.
I have my VIN. Scheduled to be built first week of March and delivery 2 weeks later so maybe later March I’ll have it.
Wow, this is getting real...
$57k is the most I’ve ever spent for a car and $20k more than I ordered my 15 GT premium for. This thing better be special and limited! Lol
