Found a site to Build and Price the 2021 Ford Mustang. For base Ecoboost (Equipment Group 100A), Ford has removed paddle shifters. At same time, Ford lists the automatic transmission option as a 10 Speed Select Shift Transmission. How can it be Select Shift without paddle shifters or some other means to manually shift gears?

Maybe Edmonds just hasn’t updated the title of the transmission yet for the base model or overlooked it because it’s semi-trivial

Interesting, I have a fully loaded 20 that msrp was 55,045. Same car for 21 the msrp is only $340 more. Thats not terrible but my dealer has a fully loaded black on black with 10k off right now. 45,045 plus tax tag and title is a steal 🤷🏼‍♂️

Maybe it has a little button on the side of the gear lever:

My wife's Kuga has this. I hate it. It's really the stupidest idea in the entire history of the automotive industry.

I have this on my wife’s Escape as well. But this would mean changing the shifter on the 100a cars without the HPP. Doesn’t make sense. Oh wait, it’s Ford.

Both my '14 Fusion and '12 Edge have the same shift button. I've only used them a couple of times out of curiosity.
I'm trying to figure out why anyone would want a base EB. I can understand wanting a GT with no options to build what you want but an EB?
I would think that depreciation and resale would be horrendous too.

Only one reason, cost. New Mustang for only $30k. Not the way I would go but someone will buy it.

The model of car doesn't matter. It's how cheaply you can buy it, how much below MSRP.

I guess there's a market for anything.
Anyway, an automatic gearbox without any manual control whatsoever seems strange to me. I can't remember ever seeing one. Maybe we're missing something.

That was one I was looking at but since I'm doing a collateral exchange I rather them order a 2021. So the only thing out of my pocket will be the difference in MSRP
