Or perhaps next gen will be a Taurus copy Mustang. I can't wait. Goes hand in hand with a switch to the 3.5 twin turbo anyway.
*In all seriousness though, I kinda like this design better than the current front. I just like to take jabs at the lack of 2015 front end departure from a certain other Ford model.

It will probably be electric and/or run on hydrogen.

Good effort, although the blackout treatment at the front reminds me of this (I assume you guys don't get the Toyota Aygo in the US?) :)

LOL, I've never seen that car before in my life! I tried to make it look more futuristic and aggressive looking as they seem to be slowly moving away from the retro design language. By changing the grille shape, I think it ended up looking somewhat like the Edge Mustang.

The floating corral reminds me of Nissan's latest efforts with their floating eggcrate/beak.

Given the way the design cycles the 2020 will be a slight change to the 2015. Sort of like the 2010 changes to the 2005, or the 1999 changes to the 1994. So some of the body lines will change but the overall shape will remain the same. Also, you will see powertrain changes between now and 2020 and a hybrid version may be available by then.

The next refresh will likely be 2025 for a new platform. This fits the past cycle but that is really no guarantee of what will really happen, just a guess on my part.

Serious question.........is 2020 a sensible time frame for a first refresh? I know the S197 original look lasted from 2005-2009, but that was 10 years ago and the car didn't have a lot of competition. The S197 second refresh occurred after just 3 model years ('10-'12) and then just two more years before the all new S550.

Could we see a refresh for the '18MY? Doesn't seem too unrealistic to me, given the competition the car is up against.

Anyway, whenever it comes, just give us this interior and this exterior, and I'll be more than happy :ford:
