My build date for 2838 also just got moved from May 20 last week to June 18th.
I wouldn't worry about it getting built, the big question is when. If they go back into production on 05/26 and there are no more delays, all the cars with VINs and all the Unscheduled cars with valid allocations will be built.Yeah, my latest update moved from June 3rd to week of June 22.... Not sure these cars are getting built.
Thanks Earl, Is 5/26 the latest info on when the plant is opening back up? I know we were all hoping for 5/18. Thanks.I wouldn't worry about it getting built, the big question is when. The last I read 05/26 is suppose to be the first day of production. The plant will probably be opened sooner, but will have to be brought up to safety standards that will make the plant safe for the all the people that work there. Which means bring a few people, comparatively speaking, back to work early to help prepare the plant. Thanks Earl, Is 5/26 the latest info on when the plant is opening back up? Why start production on a Tuesday? You probably have a reliable source, but the 26th sounds like somebody pulled a date out of the air.The last I read 05/26 is suppose to be the first day of production. I don't know why they would start on a Tuesday, maybe they are celebrating Mozambique's declaration of independence from Portugal in June 25, 1975.Why start production on a Tuesday? You probably have a reliable source, but the 26th sounds like somebody pulled a date out of the air.
The media says the auto manufactures, the small parts suppliers and now even Gov. Whitmer is onboard to restart. The UAW may soon
face the back to work or take a voluntary quit status. People are going back to work with precautions and there's a ton of people that wish
they had a job.
One little pandemic and I loose all track of time.ITS MEMORIAL DAY MAY 25TH MONDAY.
Im dying!I don't know why they would start on a Tuesday, maybe they are celebrating Mozambique's declaration of independence from Portugal in June 25, 1975.
Or, they could be doing a last minute walkaround and clean on Monday the 25th preparing for the start of production on the 26th. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Experts predict Mexico could reach the "critical stage" on May 23, and the end of the outbreak by June 25, he said.
"In any case, on June 1 we will begin to gradually resume economic and social activities," said the official.
I read this article that states that the Mexican government will allow the automotive industry to start when U.S. automakers start back. Let's hope it's true. This could delay the May 26th startup. Mexico extends COVID-19 lockdown to end of May. Remember the steering wheel shortage last year that was caused by a Mexican labor strike and resulted in a lot of cars sitting at the plants waiting for steering wheels? There are a lot of Mustang parts that are made in Mexico.
Mark: Happens to the best of us, amigo. :-) (Just don't miss that wedding anniversary.)One little pandemic and I loose all track of time
