2020 GT500 Unscheduled/Material Hold or Clean Registry

Saw a disclaimer to folks that ordered a Vette in 2020 that their allocation may not be produced this MY and they would get a 2021 model. Hope like hell that this is not the case here. Although GM did have the strike then slid into the Covid mess.

@Snoopy49 Earl, as always, thank you for the great information and all the hard work that you do. We would be lost without you!!

I don't think any of the automakers are going to go belly up, Vern so I'd say it's a safe bet. When and how many though is up in the air.

There was a 2021 VIN breakdown that showed a 5.2 supercharged engine, but no GT350 engine so it seems in line with the predictions for next model year.

It was unscheduled clean for months...just never assigned a vin and gave no hint if it would be assigned. The Ford rep kept saying to the dealer owner that it would most likely be MY 2021. When I heard that after waiting almost a year I said no mas...lol

What boggles my mind is Ford going to release new Trim Line in 2021 with Mach1. Not to be confused with the Mach E. What are they thinking when they can"t fill orders for what they got?????

It’s not like Ford can shelve their plans. The Mach1 was being designed before COVID to bring something new with the Bullitt and 350 stopping production. They need to keep the S550 fresh since the generation looks like it will run long. They’ve got to work with the hand they were dealt while trying to keep existing plans moving forward. Ford just seems the worst hit because so many important models were supposed to hit this year.
