Buh bye, C8 hype! That ZL1 is looking kind of sad now.

And THIS is why the embargo was timed the way it was.

It's also why Ford felt confident they did not release their own testing times.

I suspect there are faster times waiting to be shown off. Not in Vegas though. Still can't wrap my mind around why Ford chose that altitude to pit the car against.

Stangmode ran a 10.9 in Vegas heat. No prep. Low 10’s with track prep, weight reduction, octane booster, drag radials and full factory warranty. Not bad.

Damn, that hooks hard, and talk about going straight. Carroll is up there knee slapping, and high 5 in all the doubters .Again DAMN
No wiggle whatsoever. The car stays grounded quite well. Launch control was set at approximately 1800 RPM’s which is about half of the available limit for this feature.

Remember this? R&T claimed it was a hoax but notice the 0-130 @10.7... CFTP car at 4027lbs. Seems like this was a legit leak.

Now I want to see some track times, the released today "reviews" are mostly just repeating the same things, and heck, the posts here are better than most of the magazines anyway.

The one thing I keep seeing, is how spectacular it is on track and how incredibly livable it is on the street, something that's never said about what I'd assume will become a common comparison, the ZL1 1LE.

i.e., did Ford create a car that's fun to road trip in and that can take care of business on track, and for the latter, do that all day, without heat issues.

Just imagine what it could do at a drag strip with base GT brakes and 17" DRs and skinnies.
