Point was the 5.0 gen2 is vastly different than a 5.2 XS.

I dont care how you price it.
And the point is no one was comparing the 2.
The discussion was the difference between the Gen 2 Alluminator (not 5.2 XS) and Gen 2 (non Alluminator).

Looks like the Gen 3 Aluminator is a Gen 3 Coyote with upgraded pistons, rods, and oil pump.
Cheers,

I should have been clearer that I was referring to a short block build .Add $300 to complete the long block if you take the heads and the rest off you current engine .

My engine builder , builds engines for a very well known engine builder during the day and that is what he charges for a short block /long block .

The only difference between the Gen 2 stock short block and allumimator is the oil pump with billet gears and Mahle pistons/Manley H rods with ARP 2000 bolts .

The crate engine has the same
heads as the stock engine with upgraded (boss) valve springs.

Thanks for the update .Any idea on pricing ?

The difference is just like I thought it would be before (and has always been ).

No idea. These two part numbers in the back of the book didn't have a price. They just had “coming 1Q 2020” instead. The Gen 2 Aluminators were listed at $11,000.

Thanks for the update. Yeah, over $10k at Summit. Think @olaosunt had the right idea with just doing a part swap for this particular crate engine.
