So is doing that the equivalent of a full brake job? I need to buy a/s tires this fall and spend money on replacing new brakes. Great!

just clean the front rims once a week till your pads wear. Beware of putting sticky tire shine products on the wheels. It combines with brake dust and is almost impossible to remove. Goo gone works best.

Its pretty bad on my car. One week after wash and the front rim is covered in soot. 6000 miles and not improving. I may ask dealer to install GT pads at next service. My wife made the mistake of spraying tire shine on the tires and it mixed with the brake dust on rims and hardened to a nasty mess. I had to use a bottle of goo gone to get them clean again.
Can you give me any advice? I thought about using tire shine and after reading your post I see that it is not a good idea? It depends on a particular tire shine or it is better to avoid such a thing.

put the tire shine on a rag and wipe on tires only. There is one brand in a clear bottle with red/black label that changed the formula to a very sticky mess, avoid that one. Next oil change we are going to GT pads. I don't do track days and this dust thing is getting old.

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum. I have been reading threads here and on the mustang ecoboost forum for the past year and appreciate all of the info other members have provided. I own a 2020 Mustang Ecoboost HPP and have been experimenting with different modifications over the past year. When I first bought the car I decided to have some fun and try to follow a bolt-on route for the best performance and driveability. I have made a guide/build log from my findings and hope it may help others.
