2019 - Velocity blue

That stripe is killing my OCD!

Yeah I hope that’s not the 2019 over the top stripe. Want to order it for my new GT but NOT if that’s what it looks like. Makes me feel off balance, ha, ha!

Are there any verified pictures of velocity blue on the S550? There have been so many different pictures that purport to show the color but there are some variations in the tone.

I think the ones in this thread are about it. Unfortunately the computer rendered are almost useless in judging the actual color, and the actual pictures are not very good and limited lighting (overcast or raining).

It would be nice to see some good outdoor from multiple angles under a couple different lighting conditions.

They look virtually the same.

This might be one of those cases, where Ford just had some problem with the original paint color. Either costs too much from current supplier, quality / consistency wasn't there, or some other issue, so they replaced it with an almost exact replacement with different name. I've seen it many times over the years, with different car manufacturers, just slight change in color / hue and new name for whatever reason.

Even though some of these pictures are outdoors thay all have a sort of soft focust lots of post-processing look. Even so, velocity blue definitely looks different than LB. A couple shades lighter.

It does look lighter but not by much. lol

Wow really is the same color, just a few ticks lighter. That was my impression when I saw it at the NYC auto show.
Love vb, but I’m glad I got lb because I think it looks just a bit more distinguished for when I have to take clients out. If it wasn’t for that I’d be vb all the way.

Looks perfect - would have gotten this color if available in '16. Deep Impact Blue did nothing for me...

The 19's are hitting dealerships. You should be able to go see them in person. A dealership by my house has a green one in stock I'm going to try to make time to pass by this week to see it.

Gorgeous color in person. Would have liked to have seen it in the shade as well to see how it reacts.
