In my 5.8 14GT500 i was running 16 lbs at 760 hp. I forgot this is gonna be the 2.65L supercharger and it supposed to be more efficient, that will help a lot. I say around 16 psi at 808. The engine isn't stock compression, it's lowered for boost, which also requires more PSI, I'm sure you know. 1200 at 18 psi with the 5.2 and 2.65L would be incredible and hard to believe.
I'd say 900 at 18 lb - max.

The Whipple supercharged FPC 5.2L made 819 RWHP with 11 psi! Doing the math, the same engine would make close to 1200 FWHP at 18psi.

It will release it as soon as I get tired of waiting and put a down payment down on something else. I'm in talks with Shelby America about doing a wide-body Super Snake which is very exciting. However, I would love to see/know what Ford has up its sleeve before I pull the trigger. But you can't wait forever. I'm sure the new GT500/Halo will drop soon just to screw with me! Never fails everything always comes out at the same time to mess with you!!!!:doh:. Anyway Ford is wearing us thin waiting and waiting. So, now it looks like another full year(2019) at best for the new Halo! Screw that! :frusty::frusty: We aint getting any younger.
SAI - bad news.

You've been warned.

Update....

Upon closer inspection of that hood, there is a hood scoop that is raised. There's something sitting on top of that engine... I suspect... so I may have to revise my statement that it is solely NA, unless that is there as a "shaker" assembly, of which I am inclined to believe given the indention behind the scoop when viewed on a side profile.
I've had 4 factory SC cars and even at lower rpm at that angle you can usually hear SC since they are linear, specially if it has this large 2.6 blower (corvette guys claim it's going in the ZR1). I would think with a low rpm shift like that though you wouldn't hear turbo as it wouldn't have spooled up much. Just a thought.

Me either, don't want bulging hoods. Love looking out over the 350 hood. Maybe a different style (like gt4 lol) I could go for...with side vents of course.

Its because its high compression. Wait and see.

Your won't hear that blower unless your are WOT in those conditions, and even then probably only audible from the front. I newer hear the blower of my 2,6 upper and 10% lower at light throttle, low rpm, which is probably spinning harder than the 2.65 would be.

A forced induced 800 hp 5.something would be cool, and would definitely tear into the competition.

But a BOSS 429 with 700 hp, better brakes, tires, and chassis bits than a GT350 would be way way cooler.
That would be awesome, but I see no way that the can make a NA 700 hp car and pass emissions

The big advantage they have is being invested in OHC motors for almost 20 years. There is alot more flexibility there versus a single cam.

I like the way you think. 2019 would be the 50th anniversary of the Boss9, right?

I think so. Without googling it. My Boss 429 knowledge is pretty limited.

When I name drop Bullitt, Mach 1, GT500, to my friends at Ford

Bullitt got a interesting facial expression, and Mach 1 got a shoulder shrug, and nothing for GT500. All they said was something else that was special.

As a Road course guy if the Boss 302 came back with vengeance I would be tickled, if a ZL1 and ZL1 1LE like BOSS 429 came back that would also be just as awesome.

The testing mule in the OP's initial post has a braking package that is above and beyond the current GTPP package. I would say there's some gist to that. Moreover, the Boss 429 is due for a commitment as a 50th year anniversary car. The Boss 302 could be as well, and there are some photos that can lead one to believe that might be what this is, yet the hood scoop, IMHO, declares Mach 1 till proven otherwise.

One thing's for sure... Ford is going to have to pick and choose well what they want as SE Mustangs for 2019 as they have a slew to pick from and all of them can't exist in one year.

Priority?... anniversary cars I believe are priority (Cobra Jet, Boss 302/429, Mach 1, GT500) in the SE lineup... but I'll betcha Ford is gonna make sure whatever the GT500 package will be, it is gonna run rings around the ZL1.

Ferrari, lambo, audi, dodge, Austin Martin, I'm missing some.

Point is they all have around 600hp NA engines passing emissions.

Ferrari is now up to 789hp in a non special edition car. Emissions compliant.

VAGs 5.2@631hp and 443tq is especially good.

FORD has lots of ceiling with their NA engines. It just comes down to R&D which, unfortunately, the new management will castrate I fear. Shovel that capital to mobility projects. Booo.
