"This is an early (M1-build) prototype with underbody and powertrain changes only. With the exception of the front end (which affects cooling), the M-1 builds do not wear representative bodies that would incorporate some of the exterior changes of the 2018+ Mustang mid-cycle refresh."

and

You can clearly see the fender vents:

No doubt...

There's a difference in "fender vents" and "fender gills". There were a few cars witnessed to have gills in addition to the vents. Those cars sounded forced from what I remember.

Anyways... M1, whatever you wish to call them, this is a NA car unless they put sound deadening over a turbo whine or SC belt. I doubt it's a 500.

NA = no way!
High boost! I'll guess 18 psi... but we're also talking the potential of 808.
This 5.2 breaths great!
7l would be my choice even if it makes 650. I'll take it. I'll also take a 800 HP beast...depending
18 psi would be close to 1200hp.

We've been seeing these staged "spy shots" for at least 2 years. It's getting boring. Ford isn't gonna sell that many Mustangs in 18 -19, I can bet on that. The refresh looks terrible and we have have been getting the same heavily camo'ed mystery car for over a year now, the excitement is fading.

In my 5.8 14GT500 i was running 16 lbs at 760 hp. I forgot this is gonna be the 2.65L supercharger and it supposed to be more efficient, that will help a lot. I say around 16 psi at 808. The engine isn't stock compression, it's lowered for boost, which also requires more PSI, I'm sure you know. 1200 at 18 psi with the 5.2 and 2.65L would be incredible and hard to believe.
I'd say 900 at 18 lb - max.

And meanwhile, consumers are buying Hellcats, Demons, ZL1s, and ZL1-LE1 cars.
Let's go Ford,................let us know something about the new GT500, like maybe a date when we may get a sneak peak, or any engine info about power and torque numbers. Anything at this point. LOL :headbonk: :D

It will release it as soon as I get tired of waiting and put a down payment down on something else. I'm in talks with Shelby America about doing a wide-body Super Snake which is very exciting. However, I would love to see/know what Ford has up its sleeve before I pull the trigger. But you can't wait forever. I'm sure the new GT500/Halo will drop soon just to screw with me! Never fails everything always comes out at the same time to mess with you!!!!:doh:. Anyway Ford is wearing us thin waiting and waiting. So, now it looks like another full year(2019) at best for the new Halo! Screw that! :frusty::frusty: We aint getting any younger.

Yes and no.

Remember, FORDs current halo Mustang is selling including ADMs still on the R. So - if they choose to sell both at the same time, they might be losing some sales. However, do you think Ford could sell 6000units/yr like the GT350?

With both for sale at the same time 12,000 super mustangs is going to be a tall order.

I'm surprised M6G is 100% sure of the name and engine of this car. I can guarantee 100%, the engine is NOT a 5.2 flat plane. That engine has not been around more than 2.5 yrs, which is not nearly enough time to be tested for supercharged application in a production GT500 replacement. Whereas the old 5.8 was the 5.4, dating back to 2003 in tne Ford GT... And, it will not be called a Shelby. It will be a GT500-Cobra or reciprocal. The 2007-14' was only a SVT GT500 and not a Shelby. This mule is also based on the 2015-17' GT350... The new top SVT model will have the new body stay with some nice front end updates. Plus, if it has 755 hp, just strip the interior and insulation out, add drag tires, skinny fronts and a 100-116 octane race gas ECU tune like the Demon, and I guarantee it'll give a Demon a run. But the Demon in street trim is 808 hp on 93 octane, and 792 hp on 87 fuel. The new SVT will be loaded with creature comforts, and run similar high 10's stock, which is about what a full interior, 93 octane 808 hp Demon should do. So it'll be interesting to see. Though the Demon is very limited production and going for $92-104k from a handful
Of orders I've seen in my dealers national database.

My guess is they will build the normal 6000-7000 range/ year, so somewhere around 12 to 14000 total in the 2 year run. This is about where sales lead with fords SE cars. The 350 was able to run extra because of the large number of BMW and Porsche customers they pulled in.
Ford builds 12,000 of them and they will sell. Think 13/14 GT500 sales. 11 to 12,000. This will be a better car so maybe another 1 or 2,000 buyers.
I don't expect that sales will justify a 350. Possibly a whole new car, like the boss. By the time 18 ends the 350 will be selling a majority under msrp and heck the GT loaded with magnaride and the like will darn near perform the same for less. No need for it.
