I a jumping in mid-stream, but from my reading, the blowers are warrantied in accordance with the 3/36. The real question is who would stand by a rod or oil pump gear failure. If I were to buy one of the Lebanon cars with the opg and transported it here, if there were a radio or seat or...
If this is legit, I like the looks....but I HATE the heat extractor on the hood like that. It extends way too far (close to the windshield) and makes the stripes look like shit. The bumper and front end look great. The hood is shat...
Correct. 5.8 was basically a 5.4 with a bigger bore, with subtle improvements elsewhere.
the 5,2 fpc and cpc will be very similar as well. the less you have to change, the more profitable that the program can be.
I am curious if the gt350 will live on. That will help determine the price...
The power and chassis/suspension learned form the KR were used on the 2010 cars. I am sure that is what is being referenced here. Hood and wheels obviously did not carry over.
I understand they are not targeting the same buyer, but they are the same class car at similar price points. It is natural to compare them and cross shop them, no?
I understand Ford may want to really make a statement, but if making said statement comes at a 30% higher price (going buy your...
Personally, the pricing that has been suggested/opined is too high.
Take the new Zl1 at what, 61k, and compare it to a 2012 zl1 at 48k. If you do the same thing to a GT500 you see a MUCH larger disparity with a 80k msrp.
In real world driving and acceleration, the zl1 stomps the gt350, and...
the videos of the ZR1 seem testing at the ring seem to have a clearly audible blower whine.
Go to autoweek and turn up the volume at the beginning. It is there. I am betting it will be the new 2.65 given the much larger hood bulge.
I am betting on DSSV's and a good bit more power.
I think this is kind of blind. every big power, rwd car will have problems launching, even at the drag strip. The Demon is set up for drag racing, so it will always hold the advantage. Even if the power to weight was even, the demon was designed for t. Even given an equal p/w ration, the...
It is not Ford. It is supply and demand. I will only be bad at first, just how it has always been in the past. As long it is longer than a 2 year run and build 5k+ per year, we will be fine.
The mach one theories don't shake out to me, as the new GT makes good power. I can see if it was a solid axle car, but they does not jive with the times if it was not a good deal more powerful than the regular mustang GT.
Again. the next halo mustang will compete with the Zl1. Pricing is not going to start at 150% of the MSRP of its competition. Even the raciest ZL1 only starts at 70k, and I don't think you can option up much from there.
I would not be surprised if we get a sc 5.2 fpc tuned for high hp (750+) and then a Mach one or some other trim level with a tuned Raptor motor in it to bridge the gap. Honestly, I am tempted to but a truck and keep my gt500, then just go nuts with it and paint it AG. I love that color with...
Your won't hear that blower unless your are WOT in those conditions, and even then probably only audible from the front. I newer hear the blower of my 2,6 upper and 10% lower at light throttle, low rpm, which is probably spinning harder than the 2.65 would be.
True. Ironically i thinl we were maling the same point. I was rebuffing the "doing it wrong" and stopped reading shortly thereafter. I agree qith all do thw rest for sure.
For christs sake put some 4340 H beams in it.
If the Trinity motor had some real H-Beams in it, it would probably be mentioned as one of the greatest mustang motors ever. Imagine that car with a 2.65l blower vs. a 2.3, and has a lot more RPM in it, and I think all of you guys are just selling the whole thing WAY too short.
The...
I have said it over and over again. 5.2 cpc with a 2650. It will exceed performance targets and direct competition without making overly complicated, and without make it too costly.
Don't get me wrong, I am a big turbo guy. I just think it is unrealistic to expect it, regardless of what they...
