I'll never buy another ford . Might as well just shoot for a Porsche , if the Shelby's are going to be as common as a regular GT.
You can buy a new Porsche that looks like a Porsche did 20-30 years ago and keep people wondering if its a 2018 or 2008, not sure that's any better. :p

My gosh folks. Here's my two cents, pick a car you like, love it for what it is, buy it and don't give a f*%K how many other people have one. That car is yours, love it and go drive that beast. Screw the rest.
THANK YOU! Who gives a shit how many are out there? Does it make you happy as hell every time you drive it? That's all that should matter.

Okay, let me clarify.... I meant that in the context of the Mustang versus Camaro wars.

Yep, no clue about track performance here..... sheesh........

Lookie! A bone - a - fide Bob Bondurant car! I love those cars.

The sister ship to that one has been re-built into an AI car down here.

agreed.... i feel like the only reason ford is continuing the 350 is because the 500 is not ready like it was supposed to be.... if the 500 was going to be ready this summer or before the end of '18 and a 2019 model year, i feel like the 350 would have been discontinued.

now its at least a 5yr production car (15-19) and very well could go into 2020... i like being one of the only people in my area to own one and it seems "special" because of that.... days are numbered for that feeling unfortunately

You two snobs sound like you're never happy with what you have. It must suck to be you.

As long as these cars are a hit and in high demand, I think Ford will continue to make them in someway or another. Deal with it.

Not even close. How many GT350s have you seen? I think my count is 10 in the last 3 years in multiple states. I see GTs (and Porsches) all the time.
Agreed. I have seen maybe 5 on the streets in the last 3 years. I have never seen an R. For those who unwisely bought a GT350 as an investment you'll have to wait until you are too old to remember your name or dead to see your money back. IMO R owners stand a chance of keeping most, all or even more of their investment. Even with an additional year of production, the numbers for the R are minuscule. I am guessing there will have been more 2nd gen GT's built than R's when all is said and done.

Or maybe buy a Camaro. I hear not very many people are buying those! :p

I'm really happy the GT350 is carrying on. I hope it stays on for a long time as the best naturally aspirated track oriented Mustang while the GT500 is the best forced induction car with more of a drag focus but still formidable on track. Much like Porsche has different flavors of the 991.

I took a shit today. It was awful.

Anyway, I've been gone for a bit, what are we talking about now? Resale? Exclusivity? Dong comparisons? Chevy vs Ford? Porsche?!??!?!

Yep, going back to the toilet.

Given the success of the export mustang, will the 2019 gt350 finally be officially exported beyond North America?

I have heard that the base 19 350 will have suspension tuning closer to what the R is. No other changes are planned. The R will remain as is. The GT500 Will have extra weight on the front end of course as a result of the supercharger and associated hardware. May be my turn to upgrade to an R

I guess this depends where you live. I have lived downtown Miami for the last 3 years, and I have seen 1 GT350 parked out front of a restaurant. 1 in 3 years!!!!!

Porsches, BMW and Mercedes are more common where I live than a standard ford focus.....

So in my neck of the woods... the Shelby wins bar none on the "exclusivity factor"
